I was a big TF cartoon fan as a kid, had some G1's (Astrotrain, Thundercracker, a couple Bumblebees, Cy-Kill -- wrong toyline I know). As you grow up, interests change and these things end up getting lost (like Thundercracker's small parts) or in some yard sale (still miss my Atari 2600, though).
Anyway I started collecting again a while back after getting excited with the new movie. My collection so far is:
Leader Class: Megatron, Prime and Brawl.
Ultimate Bubmlebee
Cybertron Primus
MP Starscream (on the way)
I wonder which TF should I buy next?? I like the big complex detailed figures, but I DON'T want repaints or the same characters (i.e. 3 versions of Optimus Prime -- that's just silly to me). And brand new / just released.
Before I got MP SS I almost got the Supreme SS, but I read bad reviews of him left and right. Oh well..
So, what do you guys suggest?
Suggestion Wanted: New TF Toy 4 Me??

The deluxe 08 bumblebee. he's awesome.
Classic starscream...
The Fallen (the die-cast one).
offtopic: i dont know what makes people so excited about ultimate bumblebee. he's just and oversized bumblebee figure that doesn't quite looks like in the movie (even though he's HUGE). It's more liek a deluxe, but oversized and filled with electronic poop that no one needs.

Many of the movie Deluxes are excellent- Concept Bumblebee, Dropkick, Longarm, and Wreckage, to name but a few. Should be getting easier to find, I know they are near Chicago. $10 a pop, you can scoop them all up in no time.
The above figs are faves of mine bec. they have great vehicle modes, interesting transforms, and great robot modes w/ good articulation. I have all the current Dlxs, and IMHO they're all good, some just stand out above the others. HTH.
FWIW I too had a passing interest in TFs before the movie, then I kinda went nuts, and my collection now numbers over 200, most of those on display, thanks to my ever-patient wife. Good luck and enjoy!

No, he's a pain in the ass to transform.
Pick one of the Classics. You can't go far wrong with those. Jetfire is a popular choice.
Agreed on both counts. 08 Bumblebee is really not as great as all of the glad-handing he gets would lead one to believe.
Since no one has done it, and it's my first time too, here goes:

Classics Jetfire is one of my fave figures, only outdone by 20th Anniversary Prime.
