TF you like that others tend not to

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

Seriously, a few of them are pretty cool, simply as fun transforming robots. I have 1 of the Jedi starfighters, the greivous bike and the arc-170 fighter. I'm looking forward to the Turbo Tank and I already know I'm getting the DarthStar for Christmas. I agree a lot of them are lame, but I really like the ones I have.

Yeah, most suck - a but a couple are neat. I have the Death Star and Mil. Falcon, both are cool. Hopefully the AT-AT will show up soon too....

I skipped on the Falcon on sale for $20 at TRU on Friday.

Now I'm regretting that a bit.

I'm not totally in love with it's design, but I should have gotten it for my nephew, then at least I could mess with it.

Classics Grimlock. People won't stop pissing and moaning about the shoulder clamps, but they don't bother me in the least.

On the flip side, one TF I'm not too fond of that everyone loves is '08 BB. His transformation is too flippin' hard to be much fun to play with.

G1 Pretenders. I hated them when they first came out, but they are wonderfully designed toys, especially the Mega and Ultra Pretenders. They grew on me a few years ago, and I'm on a mission to collect the best of them.

I like a lot of the movie figures that people love to hate, like Swindle and Deluxe Brawl. I'm also a fan of movie Bonecrusher and Black Out.

Classics Grimlock is a favorite of mine as well.

Universe Devastator, Classics Grimlock are my dirty little love afairs. The landfill repaint is amazing! way nicer then the classics attempt, also the constructicons them selves arn't half bad broken down. All of there alt modes are very nice and in bot mode the only one who is realy rough is scavanger and I have even learned to like em!

Now as for grimlock, This guys is VERY nice yes there are screws in his shoulders get over it! he has good articulation and posed right just looks bad ass! Im not saying hes perfect but hes no worse then alot of other figs.

Protoform Starscream. I rather lkike the protoforms for some odd reason.

I love on transforming transformers. Like robot heroes, attacktix and Things like that.

think that's it.

OOOH there are two of these types of threads one opposite of the other. I get my confusion.... Okay, I still need to wake up though.

I like MP Megatron. When I opened the box I thought he was fantastic. He's not broken on me and I can position him nicely in my collection. For a while I was looking at him with doubt, but after remaking my TF setup I'm still glad I got him.

Oooooo I like him!

I've had no issues, and with a couple tweaks to his transform (adjusting the height of his legs and his top foot plates) he is super stable and you can reduce a lot of the lankyness.

He's not as perfect IMO as MP prime or the seekers, but he is freakin' sweet!

No Death for Prowl wrote:I have to second cellshock's thumbs up for Classics Rodimus. I think both his modes look spot-on to the original Hot Rod and he has some great poseability. And I never really liked the Hot Rod/Rodimus character in the first place(though he's grown on me as I've gone back to some of the comics and cartoons after 20 years).

Movie Voyager Megatron: The alt mode doesn't look very good, but I think as a robot, he looks very threatening and unique.

In fact, when it comes to the movie toys, there aren't any that I would say "eh, I could do without this one". Voyager Blackout, deluxe Brawl, the aforementioned Megatron, and deluxe Barricade all have some faults, but I love them all. The complex transformations and different aesthetics from your traditional TFs have just appealed to me since I bought my first figure. Those lens heads, though......eh, just can't get suckered into buying those.

Alternators Prime: He looks very good as a Dodge Ram and I like the overal burly nature of his stature. Sure, as far as Primes go, this was just doesn't do justice to his usual semi truck, but I'm thinking if you slapped on the name Ironhide to the side of the box with the appropriate Ironhide head, people would praise this figure.

I think alternator Prime looks more like either Trailbreaker or Hoist instead.

Mp Megatron is as fragile as a toothpick. Even his old toy is way more durable.

To each his own. He has some areas that look like they might break if you're not careful, but he seems pretty sturdy to me.

What are you doing with him? Hammering nails? :) :D

Mine holds together great. He's had his cannon arm pointed out for months and everything, basically in the pose depicted on his original box.

To be fair, though, he spends a lot of time standing around on the top shelf in front of the seekers. It's not like he's getting thrown around in the dirt and having all out wars with the autobots for control of the couch like G1 Megs got to do!!
