So i finally got to fiddle with Silverbolt last night and looking at him in the box my first thought was he isn't the coolest looking bot but once out and he isn't to bad at all nice height just very simple looking.

Iv'e got to agree with those who complain about the chest shield for starters phantom in robot mode his chest won't click in :-(

and in chest form well i just wished it would have clicked into on solid piece it doesn't seem right. To be honest the robot form sucks and something for more creative could have been done to form a much better chest shield.

The combiner head isn't to off when in hand i'm still not a huge fan of it and would upgrade but i can deal with it .

It looks a lot like 2/3 of this:

Even though this looks more G1, he looks kind of bird chested without a chest shield because the arms are bulky. Somebody needs to do a G1 chest, no if, ands, or buts.

Amen to that brother!

I still expect a "Rage kit" style add on pack for this guy that'll fix that.
That's the only thing that has kept me from doing the mod from the picture.
(pic is from the interwebs, not my set)

I did take my Silverbolt apart just to see how this looked IRL, and it was easy to disassemble and move the parts around. I didn't actually dremel out the bits, but it would have only taken about 5-10 mins to perform the mod.

Problem solved. On to other things.

I might be interested if they do include extras with the last two. The pin that holds the chestplate is SUPER easy to take out. They could include a good chestplate to swap the old one and a nice skirt to fix the look even more than the Tekering mod does. Would be a decent way to end this project in not a half assed way.

not sad at having passed on this at all. It looks like it'd be a lot of fun, but it's not a nice enough Superion for me to have been happy spending the money required.

the individual bots and jets look fairly nice though, going to watch some reviews to see how they are as figures, because, whilst they're not my kup of tea

I'm interested in the quality of TFC's stuff. Sooner or later they might make something that appeals to me.

That would be awesome, but at $100 a bot, a bit too expensive :-(
