Some things!
First up, finally went to IKEA and bought one of those glass display cases. G1, Gundam, and Masterpiece went in there. I think the bottom shelf may be replaced by animated guys eventually. GF is living with me for 2 weeks while she's doing an OT camp, so I can't really fiddle with finishing the display like I want to.

With the Wreckers (and Computron) up top

And then this came yesterday. To think we live in a world where Repugnus gets his own killer awesome shirt!

Up next, some "daddy!!" moments!

And finally, some Deskbots, featuring my favorite OP design, and the best deluxe of SS so far!

Thanks!
The funniest thing is he's actually neither my top pick from that haul! I actually think Grotusque is my favorite of the haul, followed by Abominus and Mirage(this mold is really really fun, and the GF likes it too)

Mirage is the Beast Machines guy, right? Been a while since I've handled him, but I seem to remember him being fun.
Don't believe the BS. BM toys are cool and fun.
I had Grotesque as a kid. He lives in my Bro's collection. Loved that weird toy to death. His fury arms and legs always weirded me out. In a good way.

Yep, BM Mirage. It's actually really really fun, the colors are cool, I love the alt mode, and the gun head is great. I love it! I found it in the giant bin with all the parts too, so the fact that he functions and is complete is great. May need to give him a wash though that hinge the head is on is kinda creaky and stiff, probably from dirt with the previous owner.
Grotusque is so weird and I love it. The beast mode is my favorite, with all the ugly lumps fused together and it is so fun. I love the spark gimmick too, and as TR Grotusque is one of my favorite TR toys and beast mode toys in general, it feels really good to have his dad. Plus he's really big!
I need to figure out my G1 shelf a bit more too, I have to get Machine Wars Soundwave up there with them. But the Pretender vehicles take up so much space.
BTW, Doubledealers 2 robot modes are wacko fun. I love the Powermasters too. He is my first and only one of those, and I think he's grand. The store did have a complete G1 Getaway too, but I passed. both Autobot clones were there complete too.
Man, I can't wait to go back. Need to limit myself more next time. But it was the first find splurge.

I know nothing of Double Dealer. But I'd like to.
I just found a shop like that too. good news is they don't currently have a ton of TFs.
They have an Encore Metroplex, and I have a mountain of vintage GI Joe I'm gonna try to trade.

Do it!
Doubledealer is a double Powermaster, so he comes with 2 blokes who turn into engines, one bot, one con. He's like Punch/Counterpunch in a way, 2 robot modes, 1 alt mode. Except the bot mode is humanoid and the con mode is a giant eagle. The autobot powermaster, Knok, is humanoid, and the con one, Skar, is a bat.
I'll take more pictures at a later date, Promise!

Blastoff actually really lines up well with my poor Parts Swap Dragstrip, so I am glad I picked him up last summer, came in use and perfectly too!

well, I don't know how he stacks up to Mech Planet, as he is my first, and at this point the first of only 2 3P guys I intend to actually buy. But I wanted him when I saw a tweet by TFSource announcing his pre-order and decided that at $35, the same price as war hammer Bee form Movie the Best, I would give it a shot. I really liked the Hearts of Steel designs, so it felt like a long dream of getting a choo choo train transformer with an old steam tank engine vibe finally came true.
Getting ready to open them, GF and I finished dinner a bit ago. I'll let you know tonight and over the coming days how he is!

First round of pictures! You'll get a lot more Saturday night to Sunday, as that's when the GF will be moved back to band camp.
Some initial thoughts, seeing as how each has only been transformed once in 1 direction:
Bee is a pretty sweet little boy! The robot mode is so much fun, and quite posable, but the arms are slightly limited by the shoulder pads, but no biggie. Very clunky, and kinda light, he really feels like a mainline figure with the plastic quality and weight. First transformation was a bit rough cause the front of the train mode did not want to cooperate, and then the front wheels didn't want to turn too well, though sitting overnight resolved that, he doo-dit-doos pretty well now! The paint and the hammer are pretty nice too.
Dinobot, oh man. Once I transform him a few times and loosen some of those hinges from use, he will work better. But dang, he is so goooooooooooooooooooood. I have not gotten him in the stand or using a face or accessory besides the sword and shield yet, and he has no batteries either, but dang is the base figure lots of fun. He is so posable! I took him to work and man, he is heavy and fun. The level of detail and paintwork are astonishing. I love him.
Anyway, pics!
