The line that gives you the most memories!

Motto: "Don't do drugs, beer's cheaper anyway!"
OK, I always love remembering the good old days as I visited my family in England, I really enjoyed being there- especially if it meant that I would meat and visit my cousins house!

Then we would eat some totaly unhealty stuff like 5 bags of Munster Munch and sandwiches, filled with ham and Walkers crisps, but that wasn't the main attraction!
After we had our meal and washed it down with cola and panda pops, we went into his play room, which was the closet filled with stuff, in it waited in seperat toyboxes his transformers collection, I would get the box with the Decepticons, cos they always lost and didn't have Prime in it, and he would get the Autobots, with Powermaster Prime, g1 Prime and later on even G2 battle Prime.

We then went into seperat ends of the room, building our basses with the boxes, brooms, cloths and what els you could find in the closet, arenging our soldiers and having fun for the next 5 hours, filled with shooting bullets at each others bots and sometimes at each other (we never hurt each selves with em, kids tease days must be made of candy floss) once we were finished we took one or two TF's out of the room and went to watch something on Tv, like his Tf videos, or Turtels or Ghostbusters- heck as long as it was a cartoon!

Later we would go and play again with the TFs.

Well those days are over, he's going to be 23 this year and I am 19 so we won't be playing with them anymore, but we love remembering those times and talking about them, like that day as Prime decided to lead the Cons (yep it was the very same day I was aloud to play with the Autobots! :P )

Well it's over now, but I noticed one thing, everytime I toy about with my RID Prime or my brothers RID Magnus, I keep remembering those times, they just look ike the old toys, kinda realistic altmodes, good paint apps, but it's also something els, which I can't describ.
But what is od, I only get thease flash backs with RID figures! Not with0 Armada, Energon, Cybertron or Classics, just with RID, the Powermaster PRime reissu I have and the remaining parts of my old Tf's!

Evgerytime I see RID toys I rally get nostalgic, and think of the old times, they just have this "thing" to them.

I really want more of them, I really need to rebuy the trains and the Omega Prime parts and a lot more of that line, they are awesome, full of reissues, repaints and homages to G1.
In my opinion RID is the best line since G1 and Beast Wars.
So what is your special line?

Easily G1 for the most memorable tf line, but i never played with my cousin using tf's as we never had enough, so it would always be like the same setup as u, but with micromachine military.

:P

Oh yes he had lots of TFs, but we also played games like:

Optimus Prime goes crazy and rampages true the toy box and kills Robin

The TF gang up on the turtels and suoperheoroes and best of all, Decepticons total toybox domination! (but were defeated singlehandedly by Batman who had absorbed all of the Autobos combined forces)

G1, definitely. I've got SO many childhood memories of the battles. I didn't have a Megatron until the Action Master Megs was released, so for years my Decepticons were led by Submarauder.

It would have to be BW for me. It's the line I grew up w/as a kid. Even though I have more G1 than BW now though still holds the most memories for me since my brother & I would always play around w/our figures & watch the show.

Still it wasn't until last year i got into Transformers a bit again xD

What I notice here is that I'm the only one who has those memories with a line he never played with!
You all picked the lines you grew up with, which is logical, but I piked a line I missed and only know from the internet and from them last toys I got from clearance.
I think it's becos for me they are just some generic charecters, that don't have names, cos I never knew all the names of the TFs I played with back then.

I'm gonna go with Beast Wars. I saw the first episodes and was pretty turned off by them. Then I got a job that required me to get up a 6am, so I started watching it while I'd drink my coffee.

The mature, funny, overall terrific writing, and action packed elements of it quickly dragged me in!

It was only about a year or so before the show aired that I gave up on ever finding a TF on a store shelf again. But then I got the BW Rhinox toy at McDonalds, and it all started again.

In my oppinion, as far as quality writing, character development, and just over all enjoyablity, Beast Wars takes it!

Hell, if it wasn't for that jumpstart, Transformers, I fear would be nothing more than a memory today

I never got rid of the small amount of Transformers I had as a kid, and it was Beast wars that got me back into collecting. But I have to agree with you about RID. I remember getting Optimus Prime (the fire truck) and thinking "Now this is a Transformer." Not only was the transformation funn and just the right amount of complex, but the parallels to the original just made me think fondly of the toys I knew as a kid. Now of course the new lines have had their repaints and such that honor the Generation 1, but it was Robots In Disguise that really screamed G1 homage to me.

G2. Funky 90's neon colors and all. They were my own and not handydown like my G1 collection is.
