I can't remember how much I paid for my Mexican TFs, but as far as I can tell, they're just as high quality as all the UK ones I've got... After how ever many years I've had them, they're still completely intact; there's a fair bit of chrome and sticker wear, but no moreso than most of my others.

There are a shitload of years Transformers G1 got out of brazilian TV, but there are a lot of episodes on YouTube uploaded by brazilian fans with original brazilian sound, so, every character speaks our native language: portuguese.
About the names of the characters, they all have their original names, except the human characters which I don't really remember their names.
But Optimus Prime, Starscream, Megatron, Jetfire, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack, etc etc etc were called exactly that on the TV show.
The toys, on the other hand, were licensed for Estrela ('Star' in portuguese) by Hasbro, but, apparently and really without reason, Estrela did not associate the toys with the TV show. So, Bumblebee is called Volks, Cliffjumper is called Carrera and so forth, so on.
They lost big cash in not importing the other G1 characters (the ones that mattered, like Prime, Megs and the like) and also in not associating toys with the TV show.
That's why they were called Malignus and Optimus in their subsequent waves. They tried to give them character with those factions, but ther are an embarassment, really. Why not Autobots and Decepticons as they are supposed to be?
Go figure...
