I have no regrets. After seeing the version of Shurikenjin that they were putting out for Ninja Steel I had to pick up these guys before they got too expensive. I'm probably going to pick up Lion Ha-Oh and Gekiatsu Dai Oh at some point but I'm not sure when. I like these guys way more than I should. I guess I could say the same about the show too.

Congrats Railbomb for that Shurikenjin haul! Those are really amazing and most of all, mad FUN!

I suggest getting Paonmaru. That green elephant fill the chest well and add more colors to an already crazy scheme.

I do plan on getting all the Otomonin at some pint but I want to get the main mecha out of the way first. I always hear people say that Paonmaru is the best out of the bunch but I mean, come on, he doesn't come with the surfboard.

This years' sentai, Zyuohger, has a cube theme going on, with almost all the mecha having a cube alternate form

The main draw(back) is the simplicity in making the first Mecha:

1) As cubes, stack them. As for what number is what part:

Torsos: 1, 6, 0
Hips: 2, 5, 7
Legs: 3, 4, 8

1*2*3, 6*5*4, 1*7*8 or even 6*2*8 are all valid

2) Turn the stack 180 and attach the head
3) Fold out the arms and attach weapons

Literally as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Gotta hand it to Bandai, always full of surprises:

Power Rangers Dino Charge Ankylo Zord

I thought I'd never get him after missing out initially, but he was re-released along with the rest of the Zords (no Limited Editions however), in combination with a contest. Sadly, I'm no winner since the Charger is a standard Fossil one which I already have! Yup, I finally have my first true double :lol:

Now, my Spino Charge Megazord is finally complete! :DANCE:

It needs a better "Spino" name though...

Not really a haul of mine, but if anybody is looking for Gekiatsu Dai-Oh, he's on super duper clearance from HLJ.

I really like the look of the components, but the combination is a bit...flat, I guess? It's boring. Also, it throws out the whole gimmick of the series (hilariously ridiculous robotception), which I think makes it kind of boring?

What are your thoughts, all?

Robotception isn't really the gimmick of the line, it's basically a design melting pot as none of the mechs are of the same theme:

- Shinobimaru: humanoid (Kakurenger)
- Dragomaru: mythical (Dairanger)
- Dumpmaru: construction (Boukenger)
- Wanmaru: cute
- Byunmaru: bullet train

Gekiatsu Dai-Oh's components are mostly based on Japanese/Chinese mythical animals, except for Pandamaru and Magoimaru (one legend does say koi carp turn into dragons). The main draw is return to form, being similar to GekiFire, and being the first 6-part main mech. Plus, they're not piloted, but the Ninninger's spirits merge with the mechs, again a Kakurenger referrence.

That said, I may just hunt for the Minipla kits as they have the articulation to bring out his awesomeness:

:EDIT: On a random note, I think Bandai of America wasted an opportunity with the Ankylo Zord by not making an orange version. We have a green Para Zord, a purple Pachy Zord, both Dino Thunder homage, why not an orange Ankylo instead of that green one?

Isn't there a box set with Bunpachy, Ankydon, and Tobaspino out right now (Sorry, don't know their PR names)? I'm kind of tempted to pick up some of the Dino Charge stuff but I'm not sure which to get. I'd like to get everyone for the final combo but are any of the other auxiliary zords worth getting?

There is a Toys 'R Us exclusive set with the regular Spino, Pachy and Ankylo Zords, but as you can guess the set isn't really worth the price unless you want to get all three at once. Seriously, you'd be paying double for a regular Megazord! What also works against it is that the initially rare grey Pachy Zord has been re-released, so there's no real urgency to hunt him down either.
The Spino Zord itself is an OK replacement for the rare Tobaspino. I appreciate the new crest adding to its character, but the rest is nothing to really write home about. I don't have a problem with the unchanged T-Rex arms, the shorter tail or the sail gun, but if I could change one thing it's the last one. The arms do make it easier for a potential Bakurestu or Giganto Spino Dai-Oh :lol:

The final combo is worth getting, all you need is the Dino Charge Megazord, Para Zord, Raptor Zord and the Titano Charge Megazord. I must warn you, the last one is seemingly hard to find as he disappeared off the shelves rather quickly, and his case mates don't move as fast. If you see him, get him! One thing tho, no need to get any of the Charger 2-packs, the Titano Zord can't carry them, having them molded in instead (much to the chagrin of many).

Even though I don't have him, I'd highly suggest looking into the Deinosuchus Zord aka Deinosgrander. He has a rather neat chomping gimmick (nom nom!) when you roll him on a smooth surface, and he changes into not one, but two crocodile mouth-shaped arms (in short, you get two-for-one), similar to the Deinosgrander power-up. In my mind, Kyoryuzin would be called "Beserker" or "Wrestler" :lol:

There's a "Limited Edition" version in black and orange, but as that one doesn't have a real basis I wouldn't put too much effort into getting it.
The Ammonite Zord aka Gurumonite also seems to be a favorite, who doesn't love a spinning gatling gun (making "Ammo"nite especially fitting) and a war wheel in one? The downside is that he's rather heavy as a limb, so be mindful of that. He comes in sea green and blue, the former shipped with the grey Pachy Zord and is thus rare. The blue has been said to homage the Dimetrozord from Dino Thunder, along with the purple Pachy and green Para Zords homaging their predecessors.
The Archelon Zord looks ok, nothing special with the buzzsaw, and the Oviraptor Zord is just a repeat of the Para Zord, just with a real firing missile. That's all I can say.

Don't take my word for everything though, ask around, watch reviews on YouTube before you commit to anything

Oh Bandai, you sneaky basterds. What have you made me done? And I'm not the kind of guy to spend serious cash on repaints. But a TrU sale made me bite the bullet for a Power Rangers Dino super Charge Deluxe Black T-Rex Zord and a "Limited edition" green Dino Charge Megazord.
Oh, and a Mega Blocks Monster High Spectra Wondergeist set. Because why not.

Well, no regrets because I can make one hell of an awesome "evolutionary line"!

That all Black-n-gold Dino Charge Megazord was well worth it!

Still, anyone can tell me how "limited" that Green T-Rex set is? Because it's so "limited" that even the scalpers leave it on the shelves when it's on sale.

I think Bandai was just trying to tug some strings by combining random redecos with "Limited Edition". In fairness, I think "Limited" here means "one wave only", in comparison with regular figures getting multiple shipments.

It has all but disappeared in my area, so that should say something... Maybe it's because the green T-Rex is yet another Dino Thunder/Abarenger reference. Go watch episode 1 and look at Abaren'oh Another Version aka Triasaurus Rex Megazord.

That was not the greatest sale, but 15$CAN off the 70$CAN Lego Doctor Who set was enough for me to finally cave in. Also, got the PRDSC action figures of the Green and Black rangers.

I was lucky because it was the only greena dnblack rangers they had at my local TrU. Now all my megazords have their rangers! (I know it's not canon but I don't care.)
