The way I see it,all the super tiny TF toys for DOTM ruined the toy line sales in stores world wide.

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

The Cyberverse stuff around these parts sell pretty throughly.
The Voyagers here sell fast ( even though it's all wave1 for the most part)
The Deluxes move at a snails pace, along with the leaders.

It's all based on location and markets.
Though the only real trend I see in multiple markets is the failure of the Ark playset,
and the Generations line is now just sitting around. Once impossible to find, now Wheeljacks,
Warpaths and Thundercrackers reign as Gods of the peg.

So this thread is pointless as everyone lives in a different market, and certain things sell better in certain markets. Also to the OP, comparing a line that is out with a billion dollar movie franchise, to a line at a time with little to no media to support it, is Apples to Oranges.

By Deluxe Wave 5:
TF1 -- 15 new, 1 reused
RotF -- 14 new, 8 reused
DotM -- 14 new, 6 reused
By Voyager Wave 4:
TF1 -- 6 new, 2 reused
RotF -- 6 new, 3 reused
DotM -- 6 new, 2 reused
By HA Wave 3:
TF1 -- N/A
RotF -- 3 new
DotM -- 3 new, 2 reused
Leaders:
TF1 -- 3 new
RotF -- 3 new
DotM -- 3 new

So, no, Cyberverse isn't holding the mainline back or anything. Plus, DotM still has a ways to go.
EDIT: Not to mention the surge in popularity has allowed the Movie lines to expand, as seen by HAs.

@ craggy

All, as in ALL the original color Wheelie sold out in my country. I was lucky to be able to have bought one. But the repainted version of him is shelf warming. I wonder why?

The tiny toys do have a place in the TF movieverse or maybe later in the next main line release, but maybe it could be done the way it was implemented in G1?

The way Bumble and the rest were presented as, small spy sized 'bots but at the same time interacted with 'bots the size of Jazz (Autobot cars). Scale reference notwithstanding.

Just don't dilute the brand too much. That imho is the danger for the franchise.

where are we getting this voyager, deluxe & leader sized count from? and more importantly why are you restricting them by a assortment wave.

The Rotf toy line HFTD & RTS,All count as ROTF toys.

The ROTF toy line had 5 new mold leader sized TF toys which were as follows: optimus prime, megatron, jetfire,Starscream & BBB Bumblebee which was a leader sized toy that hasbro sold for $59.99 instead of $39.99

Their were at least 25+ Rotf, hftd & RTS Deluxe bew molds released.

The ROTF,HFTD & RTS toy line which are all the same & considered ROTF Had over 17+new mold voyager sized TF toys.

ALL Rumors point towards, the DOTM toy line being done making new molds starting in early january 2012.

Its more affordable, and kinda fun actually, if you were a kid you would have loads of fun with em. I see why people collect those, and i did collect the ledgends for 2007 movie... but stopped, to focus on collecting the "regular" scale.

Especially now TRU here is having a promo on these... 3 for $20 i believe (ledgends size) $11.90 was the original price ;)

Got the numbers from TFwiki.
Restricting them to the certain waves because it's completely unfair to compare ~2 years of toys to 6 months worth.

Even if the DotM line ends this year, Cyberverse had nothing to do with it.

To each his/her own, everyone has different tastes when it comes to buying toys, whether it be size, color, quality, whatever.

Personally, I'm not into the tiny guys. I'm not gonna say they brought down the toy line, but they do make it seem like the toy sections of stores are saturated with them. I purchased only 6 figures from the DotM line: Leader Class Ironhide, Voyager Class Ironhide, 2 of Ultimate Optimus Prime, Laserbeak and Voyager Class Megatron. I was given Shockwave as a gift. The only one I am still on the lookout for (hopefully not in vain) is a Leader Class Megatron. I'll find out in a couple of months whether that will become a reality.

How, exactly, does that work out? Please explain your logic here, when the "big corporations" are the ones whom are tracking the sales precisely.

That wouldn't even fit on the shelves, much alone be reasonably priced.

I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone that Transformers is not dead, nor is it lurching towards its death. It is a multi-billion dollar franchise, and if you're not satisfied with its current incarnation, feel free to step away and come back in a years time.

This post is not directed at any one person, but I would like to just leave this here.
