Actually, I knew that and had forgotten. You'really right, my apologies. The Dino..uh...hoof (?) on mine is tight like that too. So, what I should have maybe said was an independent wrist swivel.

Re: TLK Slash and Grimlock repaints? Why?
While picking up the Legion Barricade figure today(a "why didn't they use the earlier Legion Mold", but probably for alt mode) is why does this exist again:

Yes I am aware of the precedent set by the "Age Of Extinction" orange Rippersnapper, but that was during a time when Legion's were in limbo. Now they have a perfectly good RID Grimlock mold they can use that would probably look pretty decent in those colors. The only reason I can think of for them not doing that is because the figure is still out in stores, and they couldn't have both out at the same ti...oh wait they did this:

Pretty sure that was released shortly after "Age Of Extinction"...

About the Barricade Legion: apparently Hasbro is no longer able or willing to secure a license from Saleen, thus any mold that uses that licensed design is out of the question, including the original Legion. Note how Barricade's current toys are all unlicensed, despite Hasbro/TakaraTomy having dealt earlier with Ford via BT Grimlock and Wheeljack (same model even).
As for Grimlock... Sadly, it's because of that precedent. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee had Legions before so that's easy pickings (and retooled to replace the pins for the wheels with the modern clips). Barricade... *shrugs*.

Huh, well that makes sense about Barricade. I never thought about the licensing rights. It's not a bad repaint and looks good in vehicle mode. The deluxe figure I like a lot too, much better than the previous two in my opinion.
And Prime's Legion has his wheels mushroom pegged in? (checks wiki cause I'm not going to buy the mold again). That's...an odd decision, considering there's pins in Barricade and(from the pics) in Bee.

Plastic clips are cheaper than pin, so that might be why. Legion Barricade does use a great mold, but still should have been a new one, as they all should, for the price. Deluxe Barricade IS good, but the arm transformation is a beast and, though it doesn't really much move, I wish the chest plugged in.

Reminds me of an anecdote I read in the book "Console Wars" (which is really good and is supposed to be a motion picture...eventually):
Nintendo Of America President Minoru Arakawa was a budget conscious guy too, and would wonder if he could find a way to manufacture the screws that held NES cartridges together cheaper!

Lol...therein lies the case for clips. Not as good, but nothing is nowadays.

Berserker has pins so there was clearly budget in this line for that.

Yes, but he needs them....badly. He is still a pretty big mess even with pins.

Yeah, all it means us the dino feet kibble stick out a little more than if they were pegged in, but it's not that bad. I thought everyone would have realised those wrist swivels were there just via transforming.
And where is that sweet sword from?

Would you believe G1 Rampage? It was repurposed for the Deluxe Silver Knight Optimus Prime.
