toy bomb

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

Again, are we going on personal preferance (in which case this thread is going to go nowhere) or on lines that ACTUALLY did badly? In which case, SWTF doesn't qualify. Hasbro are still churning them out, so clearly people are buying them. A cancelled line like Titanium (which, IMO had far more bad molds than any other line) was a far bigger bomb.

Can't we ALL collectively say biggest BOMB

Star Wars TF more than anything else!! No one else has mentioned it. Was it because I already did?

come now, what has been worse than that? It seems like virtually no one bought those things. Even though I must say I sorta like them. :D Waiting for them to go on sale in fact.

come one now, give me your best argument for worse than that!

heh no argument here, I avoided those pieces of **** with an almost religious zeal.

If I had to lay the bomb on one figure though, I would agree with CP, I cant think of another character that was more shafted toy wise than BM Silverbolt. Even when takara tried a more anime accurate repaint it was just polishing the brass on the titanic.

How a character that towered over all but primal in the cartoon ended up as a scout is beyond me.

Do you have to post this comment on every thread? I dont know why you bother. Never have I seen this comment you churn out have any effect, it is always ignored. Hopefully by pointing it out you will see how annoying it is and just post on topic, not on whether you feel the topic is valid or not.

As far as personal preference goes, I think the biggest bombs would be:

1. TF Star Wars - So close, yet so far away. Why couldn't they have TF characters who transform into SW vehicles? Could you image a TIE fighter squadron that turned into 'Screamer, 'Cracker', and 'Warp??? Purely awesome. Instead, we get a cyber-Han and cyber-Chewie that combine to form the Falcon. Blech.

2. Titaniums - I so much want to like this line. It had some great, first run versions of solid characters (GI Joe Megs, War Within stuff, G1 Magnus) but poor QC and week joints doomed the line.

3. Alternators - Now before anyone flips out, hear my argument. The figures themselves are largely fantastic, but over-use of molds, poor distribution, and the absence of key characters killed my interest in the line.

I may have asked you this before, but what the heck: do you have sand in your vagina? Cos you could probably get that washed out real easy. It might sweeten your mood a little. But, as I'm in a nice mood, I'll give you a chance to prove your ludicrous accusation. As I've made over 700 posts to date, it should be easy for you find five threads where I have posted that comment.

Assuming you don't have sand in your vagina, what is your problem with what I said? If we're discussing which series has objectively failed the most, then it's an interesting discussion. If it's which line does each member personally dislike the most, we're going to get some fairly retarded answers. Like saying SWTF has somehow "bombed." Yeah, Hasbro keep making those to annoy you. Nothing to do with them actually selling. See, I take "bombed" in the context of a product to mean "was so universally reviled that no one bought it and the company stopped making it." Doesn't sound much like SWTF, does it?

Apparently you are the sand ...

Maybe a little more than that even. Possibly a little unicorn jumping up and down in there, repeatedly. After that ... your comment could be the sand in the tiny little poked holes.

Maybe salt, not sand ... I'll just stay tuned to find out. I'll go get the popcorn.

Toffee, salted or butter? 'Cos I know some people love salted popcorn, but I've always preferred toffee popcorn. Salted popcorn bombs. :P

I dont have time to look up all the obnoxious posts you submit about threads "going nowhere" and the like.

Off the top of my head I know you have posted these comments in a recent thread about MP Screamer, in my recent thread about encore ironhide and ratchet as well as this one.

You really should be posting at TFarchive, they welcome your particular brand of asshole. Yknow, the type who takes all the fun out of something? Constantly talking about everything they despise about the hobby THEY chose. You would think someone was forcing you to be a part of TF fandom.

As I said before, you are all the douche of CP with none of the relevance. Everyone always ignores your chirping.
There is a reason Counterpunch can act like he does, because he always has something useful to say that adds to the thread. Take that away from CP and we have you.

We are all here for the same reason, we all love Transformers. Why you have to question the validity of every thread you post in, instead of enjoying some topics and leaving others alone I cant imagine.

If the "sand in my vagina" is your way of describing your effect on people then I could not agree more. You certainly are irritating, uncomfortable and about as enjoyable as a crotch rash.

Of course this entire post is all for nothing, you cant undo stupid. I know you will deliver some comeback about how you can say anything you like, and cite your measly 700 posts again etc etc. Feel free, the board is open to everyone whether they contribute or not.

c'mon Sid, it's hump day.

Sledge doesn't bother me, but I can feel ya.

There is one guy in particular that bothers me, but not that he's a bad fella. It's that he starts WAY too many pointless threads.

Then there's another who is a total post whore.

That stuff bugs me, but hey ... freedom of speech is what it boils down to at the end of the day. Those 2 I mention are probably youngins anyway ...

Oh I agree completely, I just felt moved to point it out Sledge's aggravating behaviour, freedom of speech works both ways.

I really hope that Sledge is a 15 year old kid, that would explain a lot, but if he isnt, eventually someone close to him will let him know he can be a jackass. Perhaps then it will sink in, I dont expect to have anywhere near that effect here.

Like I said, I was moved to say something, that guy's posts always elicit an eyeroll from me.

Oh I throw my sarcasm at those 2 that I mentioned. If you look at my recent posts ... you'll find a pretty good example.

Back on topic

I've heard Supreme Cheetor, Beast Wars Inferno and Beast Wars Scavenger were pretty huge shelfwarmers. I think Armada Unicron was slightly overproduced as well.

And those cyber-stompin movie things, arm blasters, possibly the FAB's, and anything else that's an accessory to the movie line doesn't seem to be doing very well(but I could be wrong).
