not too bad on price

I finally got Skybite and it may be the BEST mold of the character so far. Not only does he looks clean and great in both modes, but the transformation is super simple, with zero fiddly annoyances.

I highly recommend it.

Just for kicks, I transformed Cloud-Skywarp (T-30 Skybite mold) and the RID 2002 original.

Sharkwarp is amazingly SMALLER than the modern version, if you consider the fact that he's a hollow mess. He's just small panels hanging on a wireframe. The transformation is fiddly, but not as bad as I remembered. Also, the fact that he's stand compatible is nice.

As for the original, his deco is the best of the bunch, but he's not fun at all to transform. The fiddliness is over 9000 and his flippers panels don't peg on anything. Plus the shark is a total brick.

All in all, the most recent AotP is indeed the best of the bunch, with the shark even able to flip his tail!



Also, I managed to make a space for all (15?) Primes. That display will be EPIC!

Looks like Amazon moved up Silverbolt and it should arrive Friday, just in time for me to have a week off work to enjoy him.

Yeah, I got the same notice. So weird. Everyone was so sure that Silverbolt and the Constructicon Commanders would be released at the opposite ends of the year, but instead they both came out at the same time (BBTS as the Constructicons in stock).

Interesting, I just got a shipped notice this morning. Though likely just a label created as it's still says expected on the 29th. Great news though, i was looking forward to this one as much as Air Raid but gee it felt like it was dragging too long. lol
Also, Hook & Long Haul are on the way from BBTS so essentially both being billed the same time along with a few other items. The delays and push ups can cause unexpected budget issues.

Silverbolt arrived yesterday and I immediately opened hit! I don't usually do that for combiners but I've been looking forward to this one so much that it overruled my wait and see approach. Transformation was easy enough for the most part but that darn chest didn't want to tab in for the longest time and I was so worried about braking it. Eventually got it but not sure I want to go though that again. Had him on the shelf as Sivlerbolt until this afternoon I decided to combine him to the Superion exoskeleton and will leave him that way until the reset arrive. I don't have anymore space left to display the Aerialbots as individuals. He's about a head taller than Skyfire which now seems odd they needed a combiner to deal with other combiners if he was always there to fight. lol

At this rate, I'm curious who I'll complete first, Superion or Devastator. Still do not have Breakdown...

Next to the modern Star Convoy, the G1 original looks like a cheap-ass shampoo bottle.

Trypticon is a Selects release. Those are never sold at brick-and-mortar retail.

We're pretty lucky in Oz to have Trypi sold at a bricks & mortor store JB Hi-Fi. Even better, Titan class eventually goes on clearance to get it for a bargain.

For anyone who might have pre-ordered Sideways and Excellon, looks like Walmart has made a little progress in their pre-order system in that Excellon shipped today but Sideways was cancelled due to an "inventory issue." As in, Walmart is still incompetent with pre-orders, just getting a little better in that both weren't cancelled like most previous years. I actually expected both to just get cancelled like most previous times, and wasn't counting on them. I've always been able to find them in stores, usually before the pre-orders ship.

This also means they should be hitting stores within the US soon, so looks like I may have to start looking for Sideways in the next few days.

Speaking of these 2 pre-orders, do we know yet if they will just be those 2 deluxes in 4 per case more like the retro line, or are there 2 more unknowns that should be revealed along with any voyager(s) and leader(s) more like the previous star raiders/G2/netflix lines?

To me it just means Excellion was the least wanted of the two and they still took more orders than they could fill and STILL don't have a system to delay pre-orders until new stock arrives instead of outright canceling. It's just as broken as ever and they don't care.

Walmart is indeed, a very, very crappy place for pre-ordering. They do have a solid customer service with clercs "who care," but the corporation itself clearly doesn't. Amazon is able to manage its preorders perfectly, but it sems it is too complicated for Walmart.

Maybe I glossed over it or just completely forgot about it, but apparently Jtprime17 reported a month ago that Walmart canceled the Cybertron capsule and these are the only two we're getting. Sounds like we're going to have to hope these (especially Sideways) get a main line release in a few years if we want a chance to get them now. I was just reading about this from people saying this was our only shot at Sideways and found the original quote from Jt. He said he's 90% sure because it was removed from internal listings, I'm hoping it's a rare misstep from him.

I don't believe we even know what three of the figures are, let alone been released anywhere. These two were made for sure, they're shipping even in the USA, I'm not finding anything about Skywarp, the only other figure we know about, being released in Australia. Do we even have pictures of Skywarp?

I Just got mine today too. He is amazing! however I noticed something about him and decided to investigate. It turns out the centerpiece of his chest is in fact a spark crystal, with the predacon symbol sculpted on the inside of it, just not cast in clear plastic and painted over. You can push the crystal out through the back via the two tabs. It is cast in the same blue plastic as the fins/shark bits. I may try to make a casting of this to make a clear replacement.

I love it when they make easter eggs like these.

Just got Silverbolt yesterday, other than the box being extremely damaged, everything was good. I do like how efficient the Superion Parts were, even if the "battle station" is a little wonky, Like Motormaster, most people wont be using it. Also though, I think because there were less parts than MM, it was nice that everything was integrated into the Superion skeleton. For MM I just give Menasor "Wings" instead of leaving the Gun Tower off to the side lol....

I am curious how Bruticus will be handled. We know Onsalught is slated to be a CC in 2026. But I'm thinking he wont have a whole lot of extra Parts. Also since we have Vortex, we know the Arms will probably use the same system, but I'm thinking since its been leaked that the legs (Swindle & Brawl) are Voyager class, they will probably be similar to SS Mix Master and Scrapper , having more robust joints to accommodate taking on more weight of the Bruticus legs, as opposed to just being slapped on a skeleton. As a result, *if* there is a Defensor in the works, it might have the same design structure.

The Walmart page for Sideways has gone from sold-out preorders to In-Stock and currently shipping, I just put an order in. If anyone missed a preorder or had it cancelled I'd recommend trying to grab him now, this worked for me with Road Pig last year.

Pulse also got a few more preorders up but they sold out instantly.
