Transformers Fall of Cybertron Bruticus Fully Combined Toy Image

I'm really liking this so far. Blastoff looks fantastic. Onslaught probably should have been a voyager class, but I can handle it. Besides, 5 deluxes will be cheaper than 4 deluxes and a voyager.

It just came to me, Blastoff looks a heck of a lot like Movie 07 Protoform Starscream!

Why were the third-parties able to do all three?
Because their cure isn't FDA-approved and costs umpteen billion dollars.
So?
That's not even a real number.

The more I look at Vortex, the more he looks like Overbite from the Seacons. Take away those helicopter rotors, and you've got a great cybertronian version of that... shark-thing... he turned into. His head mold isn't helping either.

Except that the same people who whined about Hasbro not making combiners might not be the same people who proclaim their distaste for this gestalt. Funny thing, generalizations.
Either way, someones not going to like it. And some do. I was actually thinking about it today on my way home, and figured that this will make a lot of people really happy, even if the problems from the pic aren't due to a bad pic/pose. I own PCC steamhammer, and despite his crappyness, I still like the crazy out of whack arms and lack of articulation, because in a way, it appeals to my imagination as well as adds that much more variety to a mostly symmetrically porpotioned collection.
Aaanyway, its too bad I don't like the combined mode, because I like all the individual bots and their alt modes.

I know this must be beating a dead sparkplug, but Onslaught needed a Voyager class figure. Knowing Hasbro, Bruticus is definetly mistransformed(just look at the Blast Off arm!)
. Vortx and Blast Off looke great(anyone else getting a Protoform Starsceam vibe from Blast Off?). If nothing else, I can have all five Combaticons for under $100 and put them next to the figure I'm really looking forward to: Fall of Cybertron Shockwave.

I think the problem here, beside the horrible pictures and obvious mistransformations, is that some of you seem to think there can't be some difference to distinguish them from their G1 counterparts.
In other words, GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE 80'S.
This is a new rendition of the Combaticons and Bruticus. They're allowed to be different from their G1 counterparts. If you hate the colors so much, paint 'em youself.

I think they chose those colours for Vortex so that in combined mode, Bruticus's body doesn't blend with Vortex and his cooler colours, making the rest of the limbs seem out of place. Thats my theory anyway.

I think its why Brawl looks out of place to me - all the others are some shade of yellow\gold, Brawl looks kinda pasted on.

Lets all get real here too. It's hasbro and it's bruticus. We will very likely see repaints of these figures. How many different variations on G1 bruticus is there? 5, 6?
If these guys don't get 1 repaint, I'd be really really shocked.

smart thinking. although, yeah, it does then make Brawl the odd one out. I'd have preferred a blue or purple colour for Vortex myself. Some of the Energon helicopters were quite outlandishly coloured, but I just think that the red and yellow on this particular one, in this particular setting make it look very much like an Autobot. I'd have been quite happy with them having reused Energon Stormcloud's colours in a similar layout, that was badass. Still, like I say, this Vortex does look pretty darn nice.
I'm gonna say here, that this complete combiner does look pretty bad compared to the FP Bruticus, but it's also going to be far easier (hopefully!) and far cheaper to obtain.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.

As a mentioned before:
Blast Off as Shockwave
Vortex a little less ugly and out of character.
I would by this from Hasbro as they have it. Large improvement over PPC.

Who's going to break it to everyone that one or two of these limbs will end up in a Deluxe wave that's either shortpacked or distributed poorly? Anyone up for the job? Bueller?
OK, seriously. I really hope those limbs don't run into the Spring 2013 resets, or we'll never see them.

Vortex is a abomination to the colorscheme of the original combiner and his own classic colors. In every incarnation of him that's based on G1 in any way or form or name use.... he's always been a either metallic grey/light grey as a primary color.
The gold colorscheme makes him look like he's trying to be a autobot in disguise or came out of the sun.
And the Hasbro photography is as bad as it ever will be.

To be honest, I like Vortex's colour scheme, but not as Vortex. He makes for a very unique looking chopper con, but its a shame they used that mould for Vortex.
Vortex... sounds wierd after saying it a few times.
Seems its time for me to ruin it for those who like Blastoff...
That alt mode looks quite penis-ey... blast-off...

You are totally right. They always do something stupid like that. And its NOT a sure thing that they will be in 1 box set. In fact I would almost bet the bank it WILL NOT be in a box set. Why? because they then have a $50 minimum price tag on 5 deluxes!! Hasbros to greedy and they wont do it. Maybe later in a BBTS exclusive or another "I" store maybe.
