Why do I have a bad feeling that if we do get Runamuck in Armageddon, Runabout would have to come from Selects?

Aren't the Rainmakers the most obvious repaints here?
I dont think there is anything obvious about the rainmakers

I would counter with, is that really a bad thing? The selects line has so far shown to be the same price as the regular line and readily available from multiple outlets (at least in the US), so I don't mind if some of the members of a particular group (seekers, the datsun bros, battlechargers) are in selects while others are in a mainline. I mean, as long as the price is the same that is.

Probably because Smokescreen's coming from Selects as opposed to WFC. But hey, at least we're getting them, right?

Still, I want Piranacon so much I may have to sacrifice getting Omega Supreme (though I never planned on paying full price for him).
Well, even the Deluxe limbs are coming with extra stuff, so...
D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Honestly, even though King Poseidon will be expensive, he's gonna be OK.
Like SS Devastator, he's gonna be spread out, so you can spread out the costs like a loan payment but without the taxes for time spent paying it off.
And he is so much beefier looking, he has inherited some heavier plastic and aesthetic to justify part of the price increase.
I hope his combined thigh joints are up to it, hungurr certainly wasn't
We can both agree on that.
In fact, I'd be willing to say that Inferno is the only PotP torso with good combined mode hip joints. the others were pretty weak. So let's hope Turtler's are much better
Grimlock would like to disagree with you, my Volcanicus stands just fine. And I haven't had Abominus topple yet.
Seibertron wrote:I don't see how Piranacon could hold a deluxe class figure in gun mode. I hope we get all six figures, but I don't foresee Targetmaster modes for these figures in a manner that Piranacon could hold them like a gun. You would need some pretty strong "clicky" leg joints in order to make that happen, and I don't think they would redesign the leg/hip joints from previous Combiner Wars-like figures.
Well, it's quite possible that the Seacons' extra accessories will be used to form a gun stand as the Seacons of yore had:

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Legends Class figures were already too heavy for some arms, Deluxe would be downright murder. In the silhouette, all 6 members are present, with Overbite (Rippersnapper retool) as the gun, so weapon modes are definitely possible. Maybe they're expecting us to have some stands ready? I know companies sell clear supports for oversized anime/manga weaponry.
I think they just might be supplying their own stand. I mean, the original Seacon limbs had gun mode stands for exactly the same reason: a toy-form combiner cannot realistically hold another full-size limb as a weapon.
Cobotron wrote:Maybe the sword doubles as the stem of a stand? Or, maybe it combines with other weapons as the tine of a giant trident?!!! Just spit balling.Emerje wrote:Where does Gulf/Skalor's sword come from? And why does he have a sword in the first place? Emerje
Oh! And this is all pretty awesome news. I felt pretty confident when we saw Turtler, that the rest of the team would follow suit.
Exciting stuff, for sure!
I think you're right on the money with suggesting the sword forms part of a stand.
It just figures though that the Seacons of all teams would be the pricey exclusives, doesn't it? Still not as bad as Noisemaze Mass-production version, though.
I plan to get them. I think it'll be worthwhile.
Regarding Super Megatron, I think retaining the Headmaster gimmick is a possibility because Japan loves the little partner figures.

Mind you, you only need Turtler/Snaptrap, Tentakil and Lobclaw/Nautilator to make this meanie:

Gotta say, I didn't expect him to be a Target exclusive. Ordered already of course. He'll be at my local Target on Saturday!

pretty sure that aint gonna happen. We dont even have acid storm and sunstorm yet, not to mention the coneheads.
With the Siege seekers not being F-15's there is no reason for Dirge, Thrust or Ramjet to be coneheads. There aren't any nose cones in sight. Which is awesome because the cone heads ruin those characters & make them look goofy as hell.

Hmmm... I've never thought about it before, but I would be down with non-conehead coneheads. It's how their original toys were designed anyway. I always loved the look of normal head Ramjet in the IDW comic.

Aaaand he's gone. Seriously, I was about to order one. Got called away for a few minutes. Came back. Tried to add it to cart. "Not found". Go back, and it's been removed from the product listings.

Probably an accidental posting. I'd say check back around the SDCC
So is Red Wing exclusive to Target? That seems appropriate.

So if he's a Red Card exclusive, are people WITH Red Cards still able to get him right now?

I would assume no, as I'm sure its a way for Target to get people to sign up for one. But thats just a guess as to why the original listing was pulled. I talked to friend who didn't use a Red Card and his order is not processing, mine however is processing for shipment now.

No, they completely removed the listing after having it up for a few moments. Cary is likely right, this was probably intended to be released for SDCC and someone jumped the gun.
