2 more duds out of the RiD line, i do like sideswipes alt mode & the robot mode has a few things going fro it but that back kibble & head kill it. Jazz is just all around terrible.

Well, Mr. Positivity here to say, I think they both look like fine and fun little toys. I'm excited to snag 'em and check 'em out. :grin:

Jazz has some hollowness that looks a little goofy, but I've learned to live with the previous toys short comings. His robot mode looks cool, and I even like his turtle mode. :lol:

Sideswipe looks like he could be the most solid and pose-able figure from this line to date.

Lmao.... turtle mode. Over they look good. Im a little old for these ones. But kids should love these(not saying exclusive to). I hope they do a little G1 and bring in sunstraeker an his brother.

U kidding me!!! WTF is up with jazz's face!! wtf is that supposed to be? that doesnt even look normal!!

i was so excited about jazz, and now hes pure lackluster to me, very boring paint apps too.

That Sideswipe looks really nice. The alt-mode is very sleek and I like it. The bot mode is incredibly clean and that backpack does not bother me in the slightest. Plus he has a frikkin cool sword, so he is the big winner of the line for me thus far.

When you can, you should defenitely grab deluxe Bumblebee from Takara. It's a great mold, with an interesting transformation. Plus, Takara's deco blow Hasbro's out of the water.

In other news, look like AoE Junkheap is GONE from all the online stores, and it now sell from 90$US to 200$US on Ebay. So, fawk it, I'm openin TAV Junkion right now.

Verdict:

The truck mode is awesome and the gimmick if a lot of fun. Simple transformation, but the bot mode have WEIRD-ASS proportions.
Also, knees!... but no hips XD.
Was it worth 15$? Yup, defenitely. Still, I'm really glad I'm not one of these suckers who overpaid for a AoE Junkheap. I would have some heavy buyer remorse.

I LOVE THIS FIGURE.

And I like looking at it. I loved his car mode from day one, but that hairdo... really bugged me. Robots don't have hair. But I figure they have beards, so who cares right? And if it was common knowledge that he was wielding a sword then I sure didn't know, cause it instantly gives him a 13 point cool bonus.

I agree with all of this, but I really hate the trend to have no detailing at all on wheels lately. It makes Jazz's all too plain vehicle mode worse with the big black button wheels. I do like the robot mode, though.

I feel like this Sideswipe would look good next to the upcoming rumored Combiner Wars SUnstreaker. But I'm skipping both.

And I like Jazz, and I LOVE the weapon, but he cannot replace RtS Jazz.

He's not meant to replace him, its just another version, a different take on the character, and not a relation to the G1 character in any way. Just like that sideswipe wont replace the fantastic universe mold.

About that sideswipe though, while I like the sleek body, I find it too bad that the lower legs seem so bulky. It doesnt fit with the whole design of this sleek character. Hasbro already did a good job of this with Animated Blurr and that was now 7 years ago (!!!).

Especially Jazz. They cannot even finish its paint apps. Are we not paying them enough at this point, or do we have to wait until we are paying 19.99 for deluxes to see a tail light painted?

That's already how much they cost in Canada.
