In the beast wars, didn't those alien species, the vok, similar to the Tripredacous council in the series?

Gah-wah???
The Vok were an Alien race who had seeded Pre-historic Earth with Energon, (as well as created the second weapon-moon) as part of an experiment.
The had nothing to do with the Tri-predacus council at all.

That question wasn't realy worded well. But I_AMTRUNKS gave the skinny here.
Now if it;s a question of the VOK returning, I would like to see that, but I think it would be to much like the Quints return in Energon, it wouldn't be done right, so I hope they just don't do it.

Depending on just how much you're prepared to believe that it was the writer's original intention the Vok are supposed to be an evolved form of the Matrix enlightened Swarm from the Marvel G2 comics now able to operate beyond the confines of linear time. Comes across as more of a fan wank shoehorning of ideas to me, especially since for the most part the Beast Wars cartoons drew on the G1 cartoon's backstory rather than the comics, but it is considered canon as the Primeval Dawn story arc leading into Universe: The Wreckers covers it somewhat.

Considering how little Forward and DiTillio actually knew about G1 when they first started off, and seeing how the Vok idea was added in fairly early (when they decided the Planet was to definitely be Earth) I also doubt that the Vok being an Enlightened Swarm was their intentions.
