Are those 100% the same as a G1, or are there some changes?
Thanks for any info.

The Encore figures are the same as the originals, just minty fresh. The only thing different to my knowledge is the box, and that just says Encore on it so people can't say it's original.

So what's up with walmart? Are we going to be seeing more G1 figs like these?

wow that's expensive for Wal-Mart. we have encore Soundwaves selling for like $66 USD-converted here, and that's the expensive ones, they could go as low as $48 here.

I was about to post this up myself, except it was for encore Starscream at walmart.com for 80 bucks...

I wonder what the story is behind this??

These figs are easily imported for around 35-45 each... ?

I thought Wal-mart was the price leader in pretty much everything??

yeah, i was wondering at that too. for a massive retail chain like Wal Mart, importing these items wouldn't put much of a ding to their finances. these are eBay prices and unusual for a store that prides itself in the competitive prices of their products.

but what do i know, i'm not from the US.

uh no...we don't have Wal-Marts here. i don't think they've expanded to Asia yet haha. :P

but those prices i've posted are prices set by hobby/import shops and local collectors here, so i was assuming that Wal-Mart would have better prices compared to small-time businesses that have to import each toy individually.
