Wal*Mart is like a Payload orphanage. Why doesn't anyone want poor Payload?

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? People prefer a toy with some character.

And a face.

Best and most appropriate response that could possible be made on the subject of Payload.

Motto: "It doesn't matter if the glass is half full or half empty, only that you work to make it full."
Weapon: Particle Beam Cannon
Reasons:

1 ) His front bumper/grill just falls off at the slightest touch, especially in robot mode when it's on the back of the plunger

2 ) His head/neck/upper shoulders just falls off in robot mode

3 ) He has a plunger as long as he is tall sticking out of his back, making it nearly impossible to find a pose where he can actually stand without something supporting him

4 ) He has a boring face, and the face / head is what gives most TF's their character. Yes, a lot of G1 minibots had as much or less (i.e., Brawn and Windcharger), which is why the 'toon versions actually gave them faces.

5 ) One of the big thrills of TF's is that they're two toys in one - a robot toy, and its alt mode. Sportscars and pickup trucks and big trucks are popular with kids. Tanks and jets are popular with kids. Rescue vehicles and construction vehicles are popular. Armored cars? Not so popular.

Do you need any more reasons why Payload should be resigned to Shelfwarming Hell?

The problem with this figure is the lens head he may have a great transformation, and look cool in robot mode but once you see that lens head it's over for that figure no collector wants that figure.

Lens head can be made fun if they add a gimmick; like light up head or zoom in lens. That'll be nice.

Weapon: Air Rifle
Get rid of the retarded plunger up his ass, and I'd buy him.
