Ive got a rumbly in my tummy.
I bought a Megatron mp-5 for 185 dollars. Give it to me straight, doc. Am I gonna have to shot myself?
I just looked it up on the internet, and found the figure for much cheaper (without S&H included). I was over at the Comic con, and not having done my homework on the Megs MP (cuz I really didn't care for it, since I was really after OP mp-4), I bought it after I convinced myself the toy would have been hard to find online for "reasonable" prices and plus no S&H!

I wouldn't recommend shooting yourself- that will be more money wasted (cleaning the floor, paramedics, etc). I wouldn't pay that much- prices are really inflated right now. Even some online sellers have preorder cheaper than that if you can wait. http://www.action-hq.com/store/product_ ... ts_id=2625

retail price on mp megs is about a 100, but good luck finding that anywhere. but, if you're from l.a., i knew a couple of places that had em for 130.... i knew one store that had em for 130 but sold out right when i got there, then they told me they were getting more in stock but theyre raising the price to 200 due to comic con, which is stupid. also i was about to buy one for 130 at a different store but i waited a day and when i came back they were sold out. lastly i found one more at a different store for 150 and settled for him, he was the unmodded version also. hmm, 185 is reasonable. for what hes going for on ebay including shipping is just about in the ball park for what you got him for. he's a hot piece so its not that bad. ive seen a couple of sites and amazon selling him for 299. moreover, he seems like one of those figures that would get rarer and more sought after, so i guess with time his price would raise to over 200. and lastly, he is one badass figure for sure! especially the gun mode and the lil kremzeek figure is a nice touch.

yea, i know. I saw.
But what happens if you include shipping and handling? (lol, prolly still not as expensive)
Not to mention the fact that I feel even more depressed cuz they got those new Cartoon animation toys now. Not that I want them or anything, but GODDAM, give me the chance to buy the movie toys first before coming out with new toy lines. (fit of depression over the possible 70 dollars saved instead)
I think..You may have just saved me from an untimely, geeky death. Thank you. I was really beginning to second guess my purchase with regret. (And I do live in LA, and I've only seen it in one place. Anime Jungle. But theirs was already opened and on sale for a horrendous price)
*sets down the Megatron gun* Til next time... Hopefully by then I would have gotten my hands on the Starscream MP, or even...the elusive Optimus MP-4...

yup, thats where i got mine for 150. the one that they have on display is obviously opened, but if you buy it they give it to you sealed. they had more in the back. i too thought that they were selling the one on display, but i asked them and theyre like, "nope, we have them boxed in the back." they ordered a whole case of them, which i think is 12 mp megs. but when i bought them, they only had 1 or 2 left, which was about 2 weeks ago....
.... also if you're interested in mp starscream, i know of a store thats selling em for 130 the last time i checked. also the last time i was there they only had 3 left, which was about a week ago.

$185 US is on the high end of going price for him. You can go as low as $140 but you might be getting a pretty beat up box. For $185 I hope that the box is at least mint and you get very secure shipping for a reputable seller. That is if you care about that kinda of stuff like I do.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

you shouldn't pay more than 10 bucks to ship, if it's within the us. that's what each mp has cost to ship to me from bbts to az. give or take a couple of bucks.
i wouldn't pay more than 120 for the fig right now. as was stated, prices are highly inflated at the moment.

Yeah you did pay a bit too much for the figure. With most stores sold out, another run of MP-05 is due to stores in the fall. Plus you have movie hype inflating TF prices across the board. Does this one have the orange tip? MP-05 is a great figure and you should enjoy having it in your collection and chalk this up to a learning experience and never, ever do it again.
