Have to admit, I would've loved this as a kid. There were some figures I had that I never transformed, because it took too damn long during play (Omega Supreme).

Well, they got Artstorm's die-cast figures. Alpha Trion is a very fine example.

Re: What if-Perfect Action Masters
I can understand the concept of wanting a show/comic/art accurate figure. I'll admit there would be a novelty to having an extremely articulated version of your favorite character. However, at the end of the day, it's not what Transformers is about, to me anyway.
G.I. Joe is pretty cool, and as a kid I got way more Joe's than Transformers, and played with my Joes and superhero figures more than Transformers.
However, I obviously collect Transformers in my adulthood. Why? Because they transform, and that's what makes them unique. A bunch of highly articulated robots would be nifty, but the novelty may wear off after awhile. The ability to transform gives each figure a certain freshness and charm.

Hell no. I want my Transformers to transform. I don't re-enact fight scenes. I occasionally set up a small fight scene but I can take as much time as I need for that.

Myself I'd like to see Revoltech do more Transformers figures. Revoltech Megatron is probably one of the best rendition of Megatron's robot mode we've gotten in a while.
Ha ha Transformers go brrrrr

If, IF I ever got something like he describes, an action figure with alt mode in addition, it'd HAVE to include a third, "mid mode" figure, or include the transforming figure with it. Which means I would not be averse to, say, Battle Blades Leader Prime that came with a Revoltech style movie OP and a model of the truck that actual figures in proper scale could fit inside... though that returns us to the problem of vehicle scale vs robot mode scale...
