What isThe single Worst Movie Toyline Mistake made by Hasbro?
There are many mistakes that I believe Hasbro has made in their rush to produce and successfully sell their Transformers Movie toys. From The quality control issues, bumblebee 1970s breakage problems, the automorph gimmicks and issues associated with those, the fact that Hasbro screwed up Leader Class Megatron's Paint scheme, the G-4 Chrome Optimus which should have been a wide release, or atleast orderable through comic stores, and Diamond.., the lack of Deluxes that should have been made into Voyagers, the lack of Voyagers that should have ended up Leader Class, Optimus Prime's non-movable head... you name it!!
But what do I personally think was the single worst mistake made????
Availability!! Restock and short supply have really caused severe repercusions in the Fan community and the whole of children and new fans every where...What do you think was the single worst Mistake made??

Yer availability is definitely a pain. But I still think they are the best line...
They have the most detail out of all the rest and that is what inspired me to like TF.

I think the mistake they made is not making a movie version Shockwave (since other tfs that appeared in the tf movie game got toys)

Basing judgement off what I own, the plastic is cheap and not as durable as other lines. I definitely wouldn't pay more than retail price for them, via ebay or wherever.

Id say that thanks to the very complex movie models, plus the often very crap and damaging automorph gimmick, the biggest mistake they made was making a line that had a lot of technical advances, yet is no where near as good as the last main line.

I think it is all the drone figures or as like to call them lens heads.

Giving a bot that did nothing at a Leader class figure after the crappy deluxe version came out. Leader Brawn makes no sense to me especially since Blackout had a bigger role than every other Decepticon put together but got released as the smallest Voyager ever!

As far as I'm concerned, Concept BB is a rare chase variant.
Besides availability, I think that trying to mimic the complexity of the movie models with a $10 or $20 toy was a doomed concept from the start. By themselves, the toys are great, but when compared with pics from the movie, they come up drastically short, IMO.
My last gripe is with the scale of the alt modes - for the love of all things holy, could Ironhide just be a little bigger so that he doesn't look like a jacked up S-10???!!!???

Selling the Leader class figures for $60+ bucks.
Attention Toys 'R Us: there is a reason you still have your stock: You're selling it for three times more than it's really worth. There was a reason you still had dozens of Unicron's left over when the Armada line was done, and why you're still seeing Cybertron Starscream around, and there is going to be a reason why the Leader Primes and Megs are still around once the Animated toys get here.

So another lesson that we can learn here is that in this particualr instance, Size does Matter!!! If Hasbro was a man, he'd come up short and other guys would laugh at him in the Locker room..
Give us a Leader Blackout, a Voyager 08 highly detailed and accurately painted Bumblebee Vs. Voyager posable head, and video game arm articulation Barricade 2 pack, a leader Starscream, with freaking hands for god sake!! A correctly painted Megatron with detail painted in on the face, and a Voyager, if not leader Bonecrusher!! come on, I can't rightfully reinact that highway scene without one!!!

i mean chase variants as in marvel legends style.... where they would make a fig with a new head sculpt and send out limited numbers.... r even repaint a fig and send those out in limited numbers too. 08 BB is just hard to find (or rare, whatever you wanna call him). and i applaud hasbro for not doing this.... it seems that every other toy company does a variant of the popular figure.... that sh*t gets annoying.

QFT!
Another problem in the same vein is that the line is just too small. Despite the problems with the plastic and automorph, the movie line does offer some strong sculpts in both modes...so where are all the other guys? Sure they just released a bunch of G1 figures in the Classics and Alternators/BinalTech lines and (hopefully) some of them(Soundwave *cough*) will show up in the sequel but who cares?! TF has a long and proud history of re-releasing characters out the wazoo(don't try this at home). Pass the flag and continue the tradition!

Main gripes:
1. Bungled toy selection. IE. no Supreme Blackout, only deluxe Bonecrusher, movie drones.
2. Not as playable as Cybertron and past lines.
3. Availability.
Minor gripes:
1. Poor paint applications (until I fixed them)
2. Cheaper plastic (?)

I have to admit though, the automorph on 08 Bumbles and Leader Prime is awesome. Especially Prime. I can't get over it, his feet and his chest/head Automorph.
Problem with Automorph is that it compromises the play durability of the toy. But if not Automorph, what kind of gimmick would they have for these movie toys? I mean, God forbid a gimmickless toyline. Realistically they would have put in some kind of gimmick - but what? Mini-Cons? Cyber Planet Keys? But they've all been done before. What do you think?
