What should be my first Voyager?

Having only just gotten robovision Prime, I'd have to say he is very impressive, painted better than any other movie figure, and looks great in both modes.
Of the normal Voyagers, I would have to say, go for ironhide.
If you dont like Starscreams jet mode, leave him be. Besides there are better looking versions of him coming out in the not too distant future, whereas the repaint of Ironhide is hideous, so get the good looking version while you can!

Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

As you can probably see from the discussion, you can't really go wrong. I think they all have their pros and cons. I have them all and have grown to like them all.
Blackout- pro- just a sick character. The link up with scorp. cons- smaller relative to others, the legs falling down in chopper mode, the problem with the automorph.
Starscream- pro- nice poseability, looks mean (has grown on me) cons- arms, and random missles shooting at my face as I transform him, a little fat.
Ironhide- pro- great looking as robot. cons- a little harder to transform, the legs on mine are a little floppy.
Ratchet- pro- easy transformation. cons- a little blocky (although he looks blocky in the movie), the bad coloring on the door, little firepower
Probably a lot more pros and cons. Thing is, I don't think you can go wrong. But I tell you what, look for the Leader Prime (find a sale if you need to) cause he is a sick figure. Just hoping I am half as happy when I finally find a Megs.

I just have to disagree with u. How can easy/deluxe-level transformation be a +ve for a larger, more expensive figure????? I suppose you won't say a LEGENDS-level transformation is a +ve for a voyager figure?!! It is like saying Hasbro design a toy in 3 seconds and you say it is a good thing.
BTW,I assume we are not 5-10year old kids.

Good point, it was late at night when I wrote it. I guess that is neither. I personally don't like how easy he was, I guess I should have just put that as a fact. Some will like it being easy, some won't. I am just glad that I wasnt drinking when first tried transforming a few of these. Sure are a lot harder to figure out than when I was little. I damn near threw Ironhide the first time I tried transforming him back into a truck. Those arm pegs brought out the Hulk in me. Thanks for the correction. I still don't think you can go wrong with any of the Voyagers, better yet, all of them.

softimus_prime want robo vision prime too!
well honestly i do like the robo vision very nice silver metallic finish paint and imo if your not really a scale and lights and sounds person i'll prefer getting that first then ironhide cause he's hard to find too. well for megs... skip the leader class just get the voyager mush more nicer paint although the icy gimmick is annoying but still looks 2x better than the leader type...

Actually, all the voyagers are decent figures. Just that oustside US, their prices are inflated (almost X2)! Thus this tend to make some voyagers toys not worth their inflated prices. So have to be ultra-picky.

I hear ya there. My cousin had me pick him up a Leader Prime cause with taxes in Canada that thing was $80. Got one for $30 on sale here. The nice thing is I couldn't find a Commemorative Soundwave here and they seem to have a glut of them up there. Swapped it straight up. Win-win-win situation. The only problem with the Voyagers, or any of the figures is that it is hard to hold back once you have one. I finally decided that I needed them all and but finding that Bumblebee is going to be the death of me.

I had 08BB.

It makes me wonder if the effort given to 08BB is doubled and given to the voyagers, I wouldn't have found any faults with any of the voyagers!

Optimus Prime if you can find him. If not then Blackout. Careful when transforming him though.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

While I love all of my voyagers, I love my Starscream the most, while his jet mode is a little disappointing, the automorph is really cool and the robot mode is big mean and imtimmadating and if you dont like the colors or the head just wait for either Thundercracker or the G1 repaint.
