Which movie toy is the funnest to transform?

Postby DvDqNoC » Thu Oct 18, 2007 5:56 pm

There's gotta be atleast one movie toy that you just keep transforming back and forth.

For me, to my surprise, it's '74 BB. I do agree that '08 BB looks cooler, but i find myself transforming '74 BB more often.

I never bought him cuz i thought he looked like crap, but I recently obtained him cuz i bought the Evolution 2-Pack.

Quite funny for me.

What about you guys?

I find myself transforming the Starscream mold quite a bit. When I bought my first one, I thought it was horrible. As days went by, it really started to grow on me. I suppose that I have one next to my computer helps the fact that he's the one I mess around with the most.

Dropkick has taken the mantle from Ironhide, who took the mantle from Wreckage.

Scorpy gets alot of attention too, but thats more for posing, not transforming.

For me, it would be Barricade and Leader Megatron.

Barricade was an instant hit for me. Megatron, I got because of his name, but he has grown on me and become my favorite Leader Class toy and quite possibly my favorite Movie toy overall. :D

Questions like this one is really hard to answer since Transformers have been around for more than 20 years. But I will do my best:Movie Line so far: 1977 Classic Camaro Bumblbee. I don't know why, I just really enjoy him. He's picked on a lot, and gets over-shadowed by his newer hotness self, 2009 Camaro BB. But he's actually not all that bad. I really like him.

Classics Line: Optimus Prime

Cybertron: Optimus Primal

Generation 1: Smokescreen

So far it's Ironhide and Ratchet. But I bet once I get leader Prime, it'll be him.

LC OP isn't fun to transform; in reality, he is just a PITA to transform at all.

Really? I'm down to transforming him in 43 seconds. I freaking love his transformation. It's a pioneer of engineering in Transformers toys. Well. At least in the recent lines.

Movie Line: at the moment 7os Bumblebee, Ratchet
Classics: Mirage...by a mile. Ingenious.
G1: Downshift, Optimus, Grimlock.

You know I'd have to say G1 figures are a lot more fun to transform in general. Useless for posing, but more fun to transform.

Seconded on Classics Mirage being fun. Bumblebee is pretty slick too, though that may just be from the fact that it's actually a Bumblebee toy, after a couple of decades without one.

From the movie, I actually think I like Swindle the best for transforming.

I really like tinkering with Energon Wing Saber and Cybertron Defense Scattorshot, too.

ratchet is the most fun to transform, so straight-forward, but still interesting.

Bonecrusher's another one with an interesting transformation. Swindle's a favorite of mine, but there's probably better.

I can probably get it down to that too, but LC Opt's transformation is a little too involved for my tastes. It's an amazing piece of work, and impressive in it's complexity, but in terms of transformation fun I wouldn't rate it terribly highly.

i'm no n00b at transforming toys (but neither am i a vet LOL :P) and i have only transformed my LC OP about 2x at the most. he's got fragile plastic pieces that are too thin for his size, especially the engine hood/shin assembly. plus the automorph makes transformation complicated - in the sense that i have to watch out for debris falling into the crevices between the foot automorph for fear of it getting stuck. i just keep him in alt mode nowadays, as most of the movie figures.

i guess fun is a personal experience varying from collector to collector.

Dude I think you're being paranoid. LC prime is touch and far from delicate. Ive dropped him and not a piece popped off or broke or anything. Hes pretty solid. You dont have much to worry about.

for me it'd have to be:
Leader Prime
Voyager Prime
77 Classic BB
Jazz and Blackout

Leader Primes definitely the favorite though. Very fun to transform. Very complicated and involved. I love how the side front pieces become the wings in back in bot mode.
