Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Yes. I'm hoping to buy even more as companies go to the wall and put their stock on clearance.

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

Well played. Indeed. It has turned into a buyer's market stock wise hasn't it?

Re: Will the Financial Market Meltdown Impact Your TF Purchases?
I just made my last big purchase for a while. I've got a Voltron and Encore Sky Lynx sitting in my BBTS PIle of Loot and am waiting on my City Commander preorder to arrive.
I've only been picking up stuff that's on sale as most of my money needs to go towards gas to get me to school. All the money I earn from work has als been going into savings instead of the next cool TF. The economy has kinda forced me to focus my money on school now, but I can still manage the occasional evening out with my friends.

Well, my country can't get worse, and if the dollar gets a bit lower, I'll be able to order from USA more.

Nope, not at all.
When people spend their money right and have an understanding of what’s best for them, nothing bad will become of them.

True enough. This is why I am no longer a completist. Outside of not having the space to display everything I could collect I would prefer to purchase those items that are exclusives or VHTF in any new series thus streamlining my purchases.

It will. I'm expecting credit card rates to go up. But this will actually help me save more money as I resolve to live within my means and no longer leverage my TF buying with card debt. Less money TFs would mean I'll have to spend it wisely and pick only the best TFs I like.

If I can sell my house, that will free up a lot of my cash currently going to mortgage... Now, to sell my house.

In a place such as this, you are the perfect prey for a brest animal!

Oh boy, yes, but not in a way I'd expected.
A relative works for an AIG subsidiary and just retired last year. He basically took his retirement pay and life savings and bought AIG stock with it.
Last month, he had a heart attack when he heard that AIG stock depreciated some 90%. So now we have to pay his medical bill. Ergo, slightly less 'frivolous' purchases for the near future.

OMG that is horrible. Hope he's ok.
