Especilly since Magnus aint bad on his own, and is great when combined with prime, Sideburn is pretty decent too, and Prowl is one of my all time favourite tf designs..., easily the best one in RiD.

Mini-cons

Armada Scavenger, and to be fair, Energon Treadbolt.

Any car larger than a Basic as they look annoyingly large with G1 Prowl an co. Even as a kid, the scale thing bugged the hell out of me. I'm looking at you Combiners.

Ridiculously small Combiners. Thank heavens for my oversized Bruticus and Superion.

G1 Blurr and Wheelie toy robot modes. Oh for a Mega SCF G1 Blurr.

I thought really hard about this but could not come up with one single figure. Based on what I've amassed in my collection thru reissues, and main lines I must say the following in no particular order.

- Armada Sideswipe, "Transformer fugliness"
- Armada Thrust, "Look Ma! No hands!!"
- Energon Jetfire, "I'm too sexy for my head, my tiny tiny head!"
- Energon Ironhide, No attempt to conceal the robot head.
- Energon Prowl, The E Ironhide syndrome!
- RID Grimlock, Blasphemy to the name Grimlock and can't pose for crap due to the design!

I'm at work and can't think of anymore for now. :P

Let's not forget Energon Shockblast- while some complain that this figure is not named Shockwave, it is apparent that he does not deserve such a name.

In addition to the overused color scheme(how many green and purple TFs plagued Energon?, he transforms into something entirely unidentifiable. Is it a tank? A battle fortress of some sort? An oversized handgun? An artillery piece? A post-modern expressionist view of consumer apathy in a monopolar world? A crudely disguised set of robotic genitals?

He has the articulation of a throttlebot despite being made in the same year as the uber-poseable cyberjets.
His pull back gimmick only works if you slot his gun into the side of his foot pointing upwards, making his gimmick even less fun then a throttlebot.
His colours are far from pleasing.
His arms are stuck in a permanent "hug me" pose.
He has a "I'm super-kewl, buy me" tech spec
He's one of the 4 G2 powermasters which are all fairly lacklustre but he stands out as by far the worst of the bunch.

and finally...

He doesn't even have a face, just a nose in the middle of an orange square!

Case closed. I defy anyone to find a worse figure then him.

Staxx is craptacular, but Grandus isn't much better.

Both are as equaly craptacular.

I cant stand energon prime and energon hotshot either, to think transformers had gone all this way, and those were two of the flagships of the line, two of the main charecters in the cartoon....

BUT
The two transformers I have bought and liked the least are:
Cyb Metroplex.
Price of a leader, designed by a blind chimp with a good selection of serious illnesses.
and
SWTF General Greivous.
Apauling quality plastic, which makes it virtully impossible to transform him (its a pretty badly designed transformation too) without breaking him. Only TF I have EVER bought that never got trnasformed more than once.
Eh? How are BW possable turds? If you are refering to the animals, the Dinobots, Predacons, Terrorcons, Scorponok, Skylynx, Seacons and Tryptacon are unpossable brick turds, I never got the BW hate, the figures are alot better than G1 in quite a few ways, the show is a massive step up as only S3 in G1 had a plot and if it were not for BW, TF would be another dead toyline of the 80s, heck, it might of gotten a revival now, but I doubt it'd have the depth of BW and the Comics.

Yeah, Metroplex is lackluster for the pricetag, but all Giant planet was.

His "vehicle" mode I assume was for "Brum Brum" action for kiddies, he's a satalite cannon, which rocks, also, Sixshot is an awful paint job.

I only hated one figure, ever, Armada Thrust, Wheelie is better for the time.

I look at the few BWs toys I have, and they are really poor designs.
Are they more posable than G1? Yes.
Do they contian conciderable advances on G1? Yes.
Do they by and large look utterly stupid? YES.

And I dont really compaire BWs to G1.
I take each show for its own merits (or lack thereof).

Put this way, I find the concept a bit lame, I find tha majority of the toys arnt very good, and no matter ow I try, I simply fail to see what's so good about the show.

Hmm, G1 does have it's fair share of idiotic looking robots, Ratchet/Ironhide, Megatron, Every single combiner piece looks like crap in robot mode with Menasor looking crap in Combined mode, Shockwave with only one hand for no reason, WHEELJACK, Starscream and the rest of the seekers with no knees, and I never cared for the whole "We apparently transform from one mode to another, but get our parts out of the box and plop them on!" thing of G1 "Model Kits", guns, understandable, Hands and the such is a O_o thing for me, don't get me wrong, G1 does impress me some times, mostly with vehicle modes or post movie toys, yes, G1 was great for it's day, and alot of the figs or Kits depending on the wave have aged nicely, and yes, BW first wave with the helm thing is realy dumb, which is why it was abanded, but to be honest, from a design view, they are much pleasing to the mind *shrugs*

As for the show, G1 has a no plot more or less outside of We Good Guys, They Bad Guys, We Kick Butt. BW has an ongoing plot, I would say think star treck, but I hate star treck XP. I must say one thing, Shouldn't BM Factions be BW Factions as the Predacons could care less about the environment, even if they were tiny vehicles? while the Maximals care and want to not scare the animals O_o Damn you Redimus, you made my brain fizzle with that curse logic.

lol... Redimus 1, Reality nil.

Anywho...

A lot of the G1 toys you mention I actully like (though notably NOT Ironhide/Ratchet). Plastic fur dosnt look very impressive, and there are too many BWs tfs with stupid hands, and random things sticking out of their arms and what not that make shockwave's one hand look rather practical.

I only have 2 BWs tfs I like at all.
RM Convoy, and BW Fuzor Silverbolt, in both cases cuase they have very nice transformations. Most BWs tfs dont.

It is also worth mentioning I entirly avoided getting any preds from RiD. I also only have one BM toy (Primal again) but thats just cuase I havent run across many yet, I still havent formed an opinion on em yet.

I also only have two BW Tfs that I enjoy. BW2 Galvatron and Neo Big Convoy. Big Convoys alt mode is garbage but the bot mode is nice and Galvatron has two decent alt modes and one of the most interesting bot modes I've ever seen.

The Armada Seeker mold: The crap sticking out of its back, the gimpy arms, and the lame MiniCon gimmick all contribute to this mold's golden turd award.

Armada Megatron/ Galvatron also deserves mention. No knees, and an only-for-transformation hips joint with way too many stupid pop-out gimmicks made me take this guy back after I got him at a TRU clearance sale.

BW may have been a good show, but most of the figures were twisty-tangly piles of garbage. Some of them were *too* articulated.

Energon Insecticon was a magnificent cinder-block. Energon Prwol was just ugly. And the whole-not-staying-down problem ruined E-Jetfire.

And for the record, I like Energon Shock(wave). As long as he's not in "artillery" mode.

I agree with SuperSaiyajinSasuke.

I was not too big on G1 figures, apart from Hoist, Soundwave, Micromasters and the Minibots. I mean a part diecast statue that only move at the elbows don't do much for me.

And my worst picks are:

G1 Megatron: Who the hell even uses a P-38 these days anyhow? And I could see all the shininess scuffed up and finger print covered in a short time. Ugly robot form, he has no hips, just some thin strips holding the legs in place. Not to mention his infamous boner. :-P

Fortress Maximus: From a viewpoint when I was a kid, there was no way this thing could be user friendly. Went from a, pffft, 'city' ( more like a condo for Minibots, Casettes and Micromasters ) to something called a battlestation which fell into the category of "What the smeg am I?". And the robot form, which is just a large sized plastic statue with a gimmick I never cared about. Plus all those pieces are just screaming, "Lose me! Lose me!". Also, the robot is too big to carry along anywhere, and too small to fake your death with. :P

Jetfire: Before you put that rope around my neck, I had 2 Jetfires as a kid. One in 1985, and the other in 1991 from a second-hand thrift shop. Both of them had their arms come off at the shoulder. The armor bits felt like they were made of saltines. :-P

And 90% of my favs are in the Beast Wars/Machines era.

I am not sure how anyone can say that a TF that turns into an alt mode that is a base for, or houses other smaller TFs is a worst TF ever. It is your opinion, but consider that still adds more to its functionality, than say a 'STAXX' who has the same basic transformation as GRANDUS, but much less playability. I understand you think larger TFs should have more complex transformations and alt modes, but they have to be big, blocky and simple to be able to house the TFs and working functions that they have in their 'base' modes.

So I say 'Huzzah' for the base-formers that others are decrying as bad. There are much worse TFs to complain about that have no functionality or redeeming qualities in either mode. :-?

I can't believe nobody said WHEELIE yet. He is so picked on in every other thread, and yet nobody dares mention his name here? Perhaps people secretly like him, and just pick on him because it is popular to do so?

Staxx, BM Nightscream, BM Silverbolt, all good candidates.

I might throw Cybertron Override into the mix. I think almost any G1 atrocities are forgivable due to being made 20 years ago, but the ones that take the cake, are the modern TFs that are of poor quality: like many BM, Energon and Armada figures...

Of course, everyone has their opinion, and I do have a fondness for some figures in Armada and Energon and BM, but it is easier to count those I like and think are quality figs, as opposed to the very large number that I do not like...

i dont have any g1 figures so

beast wars:transmetal terrorsaur(he was so cack)the joints became loose within a few days only reason why i hate him

beast machines:nightscream(the worst of the beast machines line)ugly beast and robot form and why was he so big!!!!

RID:bruticus(worst of the RID line) he didnt even have a proper robot form

armada:cyclonus(yuck) he had a terrible transformation although his minicon was ok

energon:omega supreme(urgh)far to big, transformation was far too easy, and combination with prime was terrible

cybertron:skywarp/thundercracker(yikes) he has no left hand, left arm is too loose and doesnt connect to the body properly, far to thin, very bendy plastic, easy to break, crap head sculpt. but his saving grace is his vehicle mode

classics:all the minicons(bad bad bad)minicons were ok until i met these little guys, they shouldnt of been released in the classics line

Seconded. I liked the figure a lot, till it broke, and never did properly fix it. Luckily I got it on clearance with Crosswise.

That's the only figure I have I would consider the worst, cause I like a lot of figures one way or another, but one of the less fun figures I have is Machine Wars Starscream. He's big, he's got a cool sculpt(I'll probably pull him off the shelf after I type this), nifty jet mode, but he's a brick, plain and simple. Also, he didn't come with a gun, so that put him a little bit lower.

And the Throttlebots too. I like the characters, but they aren't much fun, cause of 0 articulation.

Armada Megatron/ Galvatron also deserves mention. No knees, and an only-for-transformation hips joint with way too many stupid pop-out gimmicks made me take this guy back after I got him at a TRU clearance sale.

Youve just listed two of my favourite Armada toys (and another of my favs (Blurr) has been mentioned earlier).

What about Armada Cyclonus? If he's anywhere near as aweful as GF/Cyb Buzzsaw, he has to be in the list of worst tfs ever.

Oh... there he is...:

armada:cyclonus(yuck) he had a terrible transformation although his minicon was ok

energon:omega supreme(urgh)far to big, transformation was far too easy, and combination with prime was terrible

cybertron:skywarp/thundercracker(yikes) he has no left hand, left arm is too loose and doesnt connect to the body properly, far to thin, very bendy plastic, easy to break, crap head sculpt. but his saving grace is his vehicle mode

classics:all the minicons(bad bad bad)minicons were ok until i met these little guys, they shouldnt of been released in the classics line.

I dont know about the toys you mention before Armada, cuase I've never seen most of em, but you are spot on with the more recent ones. Well except that minicons were reaching their sell by date once armada finished.

Omega Supreme is another contender for the Cyb Metroplex award for being huge and expensive and doing diddly squat good.
Fort Max (imo) isnt a contender.
I actully quite like the G1 Baseformers Ive got or seen (apart from Grandus, nothing particularly grand about him, the porky Japanese exclusive)...

I'm going have to disagree. G1 stories had morals. Golden Lagoon was about how nobody wins in war; Secret of Omega Supreme was about how there are more important things than revenge; War Dawn is about how you can't judge people by what's on the outside; War of the Dinobots was about how jealous can make you blind and make rash judgements; Megatron's Master Plan was about not believing in political propaganda, etc etc.
