Seeing Death's Head brought back memories! He first appeared in the Doctor Who magazine when it was still being published by Marvel! And as a Transformer/DW fan, I was delighted to see him appearing in both franchises!

It would be so cool to have a DH Transformer. 8)

Death's Head was a very cool character and it would be really lame to make a transforming version of him. Sounds like using a gimick to try and sell an otherwise undesirable toy.

Honestly a regular Death's Head would do well enough on it's own in the collector market but for retail he doesn't have as much exposure for anyone to really recognize him.

Probably not for the TF collection. As part of a comic related collection sure.

Though I do think Deaths Head 2 and 3 were cooler.

that's why i'm now calling for a Homage to him, instead of a transformable Death's Head.. just make a New Bot that looks kinda like him.. that's all I ask..

They're cool and all, but I much prefer the aesthetic of the first Deaths Head.

I don't see why they couldn't release a deluxe version of Deaths Head in a transformers line.

No alt mode- less time and money spent on design.
He could just have all his accessories instead.

Or he could come out in a different marvel series.
As long as he has all of the stuff I've seen him use in tf comics, and he's in size with either deluxe, voyager, or in-between, I'm a happy camper.

I'd rather buy a three-pack of minicon-sized humans from G1 than crappy minicons.

That right there is exactly what a homage is:

Something that shows respect or attests to the worth or influence of another

An actual Death's Head figure would not be a Homage, it would be Deaths Head. Some Transformer who deliberately looks a bit like Death head, that's a homage. I'd rather have a proper Deaths Head figure.

AK-
Deaths head was a 'freelance peacekeeping agent' not a bounty hunter

how about this for a homage, a new/ resculpted head and we are there

I would like to burn that figure, all other copies of that figure, the moulds and the designers.

I know what Homage means, that's why I used that phrase and worded my sentence in such a way that people understood what I was trying to get accross...

I said, ok, how about a Death's Head figure in Classics or some kind of line?

Response from some of you: Licenses!! they would be hard to get Marvel to cross them over for a Death's head toy under the Transformers Banner..

which I think is utter rubbish, Hasbro holds the license to almost all Marvel Products...but whatever!!

Then I said, ok, what about making Death's head a Transformer, similar to that of Cy-Kill in transformation, he could be a Motorcycle...with his face on the front??

Response from some of you: Licenses again! and the fact that if they did him as a Transformer it'd suck, no he should just be a figure...like a Marrvel Legends figure.. but done right!!

Finally I said:
ok, so no figure of him in transformers because he's got License issues...., No transformable figures of him because he'd be stupid...soo..... Why not make a Transformer that loooks like him, but is called something else, but is clearly made to look like him...

Response from some of you: the definition of the word Homage...

Motto: "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings to randomly click things in the Admin Panel to see what it breaks."
I think you'll find the licensing agreement between Hasbro and Marvel doesn't allow Hasbro to pick any character they choose.

And if they did I doubt they'd choose an obscure character like Deaths Head, let's face it, outside of Transformers he wouldn't be a well known character, and his third incarnation would have comic fans going "why him? Why not someone more popular?"

As far as a figure for him goes, either his first (preferable) or second incarnations would suffice, highly articulated, with interchangable weapons. That's all i'd like to see.

Sorry I missread your original post. I thought you said "that's why i'm not calling for a Homage to him" Hence my responce.

I now realise you want a homage to Death Head, which might be nice. However I'd much prefer a proper Death's Head action figure but I'd much rather Hasbro were not the ones to make it.

On a side not, what's this crap about a muscle car?

well it's not that I don't want a super articulated Death's head toy, it's just that I want to some how acknowledge his involvement in the history of the Transformers from the 1987 Marvel days.. like with a homage to him in the form of a Transformer or something like that thrown into the Transformers toy line, yeah only certain fans would get who and what he's supposed to represent, but the likeness of his face and robot form in a Transformer toy homage, with a different name, would be pretty cool.. what would also be cool is if he had a Decepticon and Autobot symbol, so that he'd be a freelancer for either side..I think his design would worrk quite well in the animated series..

But I agree with Burn the 1st incarnation is the more preferable, you can't mess with a classic!!! the second incarnation of Death's Head was pretty interesting, but I can't fathom the 3rd at all.. it's too funky...

but as far as a Muscle car, I remember seeing a picture of an altmode that looked like a car with big pipes sticking out of it, kinda like a muscle car for the robotmode image provided above...??? I could be wrong.. but I was certain he turns into a car...
