people i have been giving this quite a bit of thought lately
imagine for a moment that destroyer had aired as the second to final episode of jlu season 5 with this story as an episode being set a good 5 years after destroyer
when it comes to this storyline idea of mine it draws on certain elements from superman the wedding album, and the jlu episode for the man who has everything.
heres the links for the episode

basicly people as an episode the opening scenes of the story would be a very near faithful animated take on the wedding ceremony that was used as the ending for the wedding album with professor hamilton not being in the scene at all due to his involvement with cadmus
with the end of the wedding ceremony switching to a scene of the newly married clark and lois kent looking back on the events of the past couple days as they reminisce with eachother while wonder woman escorts them to themyscira island on her invisible jet.
the next shot would be of the jet landing on the island with the 3 meeting up with the martian manhunter and batman for an as yet unrevealed purpose
john's role in the story would be that he would retrieve from supermans mind a memory of the not so distante past with his using his telepathic abilities to share that memory with lois and wonder woman
while wonder womans role in the episode would be 3 fold
1 she would escort the kents to the island
2 she would aid them in creating from clay a statue of a very rather young male child
3 she in representing the kents would make an impassioned plea to the olympian gods on the kents behalf for the statue to be granted life as a living child
with the statue as a living child being in overall appearance that of a living van-el
in short people by and large this story would serve as a superman counterpart to batman's epilogue in which superman in forefilling his promise would make his dream a living reality and in doing so gain a true son along the way possibly with bruce and diana as the child's god parents.
know people i got a question
how would it have gone over at the time with the dc fanbase if that story had actually aired as the final episode?
i don't know about you guys but i really pityed superman for the greif he experienced in waking up from that dream
i would think that for all the good that superman has done for the world throughout his lifetime that he would be deserving of that much in life at the very least
a question about jlu season 5
