Not a single completionist in here yet? Well I guess I'll poke my head in.
Even then, that term needs definition. By the loosest definition, no one is a completionist. To get every Transformers toy out there, from all countries, would require one to be very wealthy and have a ton of space. Maybe there's a millionaire out there fulfilling that dream, but they sure as heck aren't posting on the internet about it. Even then, you have to have some line drawn. Buying everything with the word "Transformers" on it is an absurd exercise and anyone attempting that needs to seek therapy for other issues, such as but not limited to OCD.
For me, "complete" is as follows:
- All US Hasbro Transformers toy releases
With the following exceptions:
- Repacks, where the figures inside the box or package are unchanged, don't count.
- "Role-play" products, like those masks and swords you see in every store these days, don't count.
- Completely non-transforming "action figure"-esque or licensed items don't count, with some exceptions - Rescue Bots vinyl figures "count", since these are pivotal to having even a complete show cast for that show, whereas Loyal Subjects figurines don't.
- Licensed products don't count, as these almost always fall under the above exception.
- Canceled products, even if they were released in other territories or if they came out here in "test markets". An example of "Test Market" stuff would be G2 ATB Megatron or Beast Wars Green Ramulus. That said, it is fun to track a bunch of these down, but by my own definition, they aren't US releases.
So, you may wonder where I am in this endeavor. I present to you the list of things I
don't have yet, using my definition of "complete". This does not include current, ongoing lines where stuff is still coming out regularly (AOE, Rescue Bots, etc.)

There's some other stuff I go after, things like Kreo, the old Robot Heroes, all Minicons/Microns from around the globe, but I primarily just keep the focus right here on the releases from the good 'ol USA. A lot of what I need isn't hard to find or even really expensive, just haven't gotten around to playing catch-up on it all. It's been a long, fun journey to get where I'm at with this stuff, but it's very rewarding to see it all out in my collection room (for the most part) and I enjoy taking down a shelf, messing with the stuff on it, then rearranging it again from time to time. It's also really fun to take every version of a mold that there is and put them all together. Just Classics Rodimus figures can make quite a crazy rainbow!
