Binaltech, Alternators, reissues, Cybertron, Energon, Armada, Classics, Henkei, United, Generations, Movie, Animated, Prime, 3rd Party and Masterpiece, the scenery has been moving rapidly for Transformers collectors in the last decade. For completists the sheer weight of product must have been overwhelming, and for the dabblers not much easier. That’s to say nothing about the distraction of vintage collecting.

I love reading these, it's great to see Alts and BT's getting some love too.

Really need to start filling some holes in my collection....Most notably the BT only deco's.

Motto: "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings to randomly click things in the Admin Panel to see what it breaks."
It was a great line and came on the scene a few years after I got back into collecting, so after the initial fun of catching up on Beast Wars and what not, for this line to come out was perfect timing.

And the engineering ... I remember the fandom at the time, we went nuts. I remember one site owner describing Smokescreen as "the sexiest Transformer of all time", and he wasn't far from the truth. This wasn't an update, it was a re-imagining.

Suffice to say, reading this article and taking a look at my BT and Alt collection, I now know why I was running short on money all those years.

But it's such a lovely feeling to have at least one (and sometimes multiples) of each release for the collection.

Good luck in your search Maz! It will definitely be rewarding.
