Blackout Useless!
Did I miss something, or did Blackout turn out to be really useless? I was expecting a spectacular workup to his end, but what I saw was two Sabot rounds from F22s followed by one pop from Josh Duhamel.

I'm putting it all down to a limited budget so they couldn't have made Blackout move around much.
Although I hated the universal rule that you can take someone out by aiming for their crotch. ouch!

I dunno. he made a nice 'one-man army' at the beginning. That was a big ol base and he was tearing through it with mimimal fuss. Unless I missed something, he turned up way late to the final fight, and pretty much as soon as he arrived he was the focus of alot of human gunfire.

hardly two rounds - he takes a full airstrike to the back
The round fired at him by Josh Dummell was irrelevant (and one wonders why they bothered with it)
Seems Skorponok was the toughest of the lot, he lost a tail for sure but the rest seemed to fall down if the wind changed direction!

Blackout useless ? Hell no. He was great. He destroyed an entire base, got some precious informations and had fun while doing it ! Now that's the most important, to enjoy what you do.
Like mentionned, he was taking off fast to make sure that 1- the budget was respected 2- That Prime would survive for the sequel... I mean c'mon, Prime vs Meg and Blackout ?... And who could of taken him out ? Ratchet and Ironhide were both damaged and away from the fight. Blackout had to go down with the Sabot. It was the best weapon ''we'' had against the TFs and well, Bay loves heroes, so some revenge was taking there too... Pretty cheesy and useless scene if you ask me.
Brawl and Bonecrusher were pretty useless of what we've seen in the movie. Their only purpose was to show how bad ass Optimus was (before being kicked around by Megatron..) and how Bumblebee and Mikaela were courageous and all..

Yeah or maybe they got a limit of the length of the movie.

The scene of Blackout's death could be leftover material from an earlier stage of the movie.
Remember Lennox jumping on some random motorcycle that just happened to lie there? It was conveniently abandoned and not outfitted with an alarm system. Now, I knew before seeing the movie Arcee was cut out, but maybe that motorcycle was actually supposed to be her and they filmed him picking it up after she had been cut from the movie.
It would be like Arwen joining the battle at Helm's Deep in LotR The Two Towers. Though she never really appears there in the final picture, you can still see her on horseback when all the heroes ride out for a final stand. Her hair and clothing were digitally recolored to resemble a Rohan Rider, but she's still recognizable if you look closely.

I think they decided Arcee wasn't in it even before they started filming...but I could very easily be wrong on that.Rushie wrote:The scene of Blackout's death could be leftover material from an earlier stage of the movie.

Let's just hope that if they need a red shirt autobot they pick one a little less popular than Jazz. Jazz is no red shirt. But I'd say in this movie, Bonecrusher was definitely the red shirt 'con.

I agree with you, he got his ass handed to him by Prime rather quickly.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
