CoBro!! I'm not sure what exactly got me to pull the trigger, finally. Maybe it was the decently priced but incomplete Mazinger, and the ability to track down repro's of most of his accessories for about ~$150.

It's gonna be a pain to find both swords, but it's got to be easier than finding the Hover Pilder (or DAT HEAD) for the 1978 US Mattel Mazinger (2nd version) alone. And when I think of Tranzor Z, I always think ROCKET PUNCH anyway.

I wish this incarnation had the molded chest piece, but the sticker sheet was readily available. I had missed out on one with the molded piece, but it would have cost about $50 more (assuming I hadn't gotten sniped lol)...and I wasn't ready. I finally am, and even bought the jet scrander today.

Thanks Crammy!! This Giant Robot is truly one of the OGs, and there's many reasons this incarnation was a holy grail for me....I can't believe this will be my first. My bff has many die-cast, awesome incarnations of Mazinger -- but not this one.

My brother has 3 of those guys. Mazinger, Raideen, and I think Getter? Crap can't remember his name right now. The guy with the skull for a torso.
I've always been jealous of those, but he bought them silly cheap on eBay in the early 90's when no one new what was going on or what things were worth.

I do want to make sure that everyone knows that the ship that docks in Mazinger's head is called the Brain Condor.
Because I think that name is AWESOME!

Here's a thing you might appreciate, Bod. Long story short. At our new work space, the boss wants to make a "nerd wall" comprised of vinyl decals of images of all the things we as nerds love. Two of many drawings I've contributed so far are as follows.

Those would be AWESOME vinyl decals to have on my wall, Cobo!! Love both.

After trolling around a bit more on eBay, I finally found swords for Mazinger -- but they're the blue variant. They will still look cool, even if they should be red.It turns out my version is "Great Mazinga", the 3rd Mattel incarnation of the figure; the Brain Condor (!) cannot be removed, but I'm honestly glad I don't have to hunt for one -- I have yet to even see a single, loose one! There's also that non-molded chest piece, but I'll live.

All in all, for just under $200, my Great Mazinger will be fully loaded.

I briefly searched for dem Jumbo Machinder "ZZ" accessories, and found ZZ-7 -- the ROCKET PUNCH!But it cost as much as Mazinger himself, so no go.

After some cleaning, he looks better, but it's clear he was loved. His most noticeable scar is right on his nose....but I did get him for my son's birthday. I can restore him proper later. He also has XX-2 coming, thanks to Japan ($30!).

I absolutely love him, Cobo. Wow. My waifu was not so hot on the idea of spending 100+ on a vintage toy....but she couldn't help but be impressed with his final look.

He has a bare minimum of features, Crammy, but he's a photogenic brick. He can fire all three missile-fingers at once though!

While waiting for any PotP figures to show up, I finally got lucky with a Micromaster that's been on my list for awhile -- G1 Countdown! He was $30 incomplete, and yes, I probably need to spend about $50 to complete him (dunno about that lol), but all the basics are there.And when he arrived, I also got lucky in tracking down the remaining Terrorcons.

EDIT! Oh, and $300+ for MP BW Megatron? I think I may just hunt down the first incarnation and be happy. Unless mai waifu wants to make a dream come true -- but at this price point, we're getting close to another dreambot: the 1/3000 SDF1-Macross....but it is Megatron, yesss....

Hey Cobo! Countdown is my first Micromaster, even though I've casually hunted for them...but I really wanted him the most. I don't know who else I'd want, but I love deal hunting.I found Cindy & Outback at Target! They were quietly placed on the shelves last week, and I impulse-bought both thanks to no sign of Deluxes or PMs -- but then I got lucky. Now, if I can only obtain Novastar and Bludgeon, I could call it good for PotP....impulse-buys aside.

I found Cutthroad this weekend, so I'm short a Blot and a Sinnertwin, and dang Blot is the one I want most!

Blot's easily my favorite of the bunch, D-Max -- hopefully all of our brick & mortar stores restock again soon! I was pretty shocked to find wave2 Prime Masters at Target today. I was actually looking for Bludgeon but since the distro for PotP has been so bad, it's made me impulse-buy just about anything from the line. >_<But speaking of impulse-buys, I went into my favorite vintage store -- and came out $90 poorer......thanks to an opened box version of the Beast Wars Reborn (10 year anniversary) TRU exclusive with Optimus Primal vs. Megatron! I was holding off on a Dinoversion of BW Megz, with the announcement of the lovely Masterpiece...but with an expected $300+ price tag, that stopped me from placing a preorder. ;_;So I got the next best thing -- an incarnation of BW Megatron with a head-sculpt aimed at CG-accuracy...and he is glorious, yesss. Oh, and this incarnation of Primal is cool, too.

I'm amazed by how awesome these two incarnations are of Primal and Megatron in their initial Beast Modes -- if I had had this Primal previously, I probably could have skipped MP-32....but he is pretty hot, so maybe not.Megatron though! Wow. Absolutely awesome.

Today's haul (should have included Tripredacus for $40, but I just spent $90 on Megatron! I was also tempted by some Shogun Warrior vehicles, but again, I'm out of fun money already...the guy also had a Dragun Jumbo Machinder for $90....if only I were rich lol)... :p

As Landmine, Alpha Trion joined the A-Squad. Where better to have Infinite Knowledge than Infinite Space?
