Agreed. It's only $5 off.
Make way for the movie toys!

yeah seriously this toy sucks complete ass. people dont like devastator/constructicons from anything but the G1 age. they need to reissue more stuff than just soundwave for the classics range.

5$ off? That's hardly "on clearance"
Besides, I've never even seen the set in person...
Seacon repaints?

Until that **** company learns to distribute stock properly,(and quite letting the dealers come in and buy them right off of the pallets, so they never even see shelf time)I am personally boycotting WM Exclusives. Hell, I'll even pay the ridiculous mark-up that the online dealers are asking, rather than to go to the same store numerous times and never once see them.
I dealt with this same crap with the WM Giant-Man MLs, I'm done with WM Exclusives.
Just to point out what should be obvious here, you're adding to the same problem you're complaining about. by supporting online dealers or any other second or third party for exclusives is letting a scalper take your money from you at a mark up. You could always try Wal-mart.com or check your local sightings forums. They give you a better idea of what's out than just driving around and wasting money, time and gas.
It is obvious, but I don't mind paying alittle mark up if the figures are that scarce, I just accept it as the nature of the beast. Same thing with wasting time and gas, it happens, but it usually pays off more often than not, except when I'm dealing with WM.
The main point of my post is how unprofessionally these things are handled by WM, that when something is adverstised as an exclusive, it somehow never gets to the shelves around here. I never seem to have that problem with other retailers.

I told the fire to go **** itself, and it did.
Rijie Seeking:
Botcon 2009--Souvenir Sweeps
Botcon 2010--Souvenirs Rapido, Scorch/Shattered Glass Ravage
MISP preferred, but will consider opened NM/Complete, especially for older figures. Lots of TFs for trade! Please PM any inquiries, serious interest only!

I agree with the poor distribution argument. Yesterday I decided to make a 'full tank of gas' toy run. I hit two Targets, a TRU, a couple K-marts and 6 Wal-marts. I found the Target Legends 4 pack exclusives at both stores, could still buy BW Primal & Meg two packs at TRU, and saw no evidence that a Ravage or a Rumble had ever been delivered to any one of the six Wal-marts. Two of those Wal-marts had Devs, but not on clearance yet and no new Alts (lots of old ones, though). It's not like I'm dying to buy these exclusive guys, but I'd at least like the opportunity to pick them up and make the decision in person.
On a side note, Wal-mart has got to have the most arbitrary clearance policy ever. I found Classics Deluxes at $5 at one store, then tons of DVD Primes for $50 when I bought mine for $20 a couple months ago, and the best one was a set of Cyb. Basics on "clearance" marked down from $6.97 to $6.94. The worst was finding Alt. Skids and Ricochet in the clearance aisle at the Wal-mart closest to home, and when I scanned them, they came back at full price.

I think the managers of the stores decide what to mark things down to, not corporate.

They would have to, as it makes no sense otherwise. I asked about the clearance policy at the one nearest me, and they gave me the impression that on toys, they keep the clearance price as high as possible, so if no one buys it, they can donate them to charity and get the tax right off. It must be a sound strategy for them...they still have about 10 Cyb Metroplexes, 10 Cyb Megatrons, 5 Primus and...no kidding, either...30 DVD Primes all sitting b/t $30 - $50 on clearance. And those figs have been sitting there since January.

It's nice that they've put it on clearance, seeing as none of the Wal-marts near me has even had them out yet
