A small update with my Space Bridge diorama. My purple lights came in and I temporarily taped them in place in how i want them to be for now. The lights will be on a blink pattern so once i have completed this project i can perhaps post a short video. For now you can see what it would look like with the lights off in the room.

Not pictured, i have started applying joint compound to the space bridge itself. This will fill the foam pockets and give a smooth surface once i sand it all. It is coming along.

Wow that's pretty good! Is the bridge itself all 1 piece or did you have to put it together?

Thanks, the space bridge itself is actually one piece. I was able to buy a circle piece of foam from Michaels. That particular piece of foam is often used for decorative flowers and such (inside vases/pots). Then i cut out the middle section and for the sides i was able to file/sand down those areas to give it that rounded look.

My latest addition is from the G2 European family. From the Stormtrooper group i just got Aquablast. He was the last one i needed in order to have all four. Since I already had Hydradread loose, i posed Aquablast with him in both modes. Then the last shot is of all four. Even though two of them are not sealed, i do have their card backs.

Finally a small update to my space bridge project. I sanded the first layer of compound that was applied. Then i applied a second layer to those areas. In addition, i applied the first layer of compound to the lower ring portion of the bridge. Tomorrow i will sand down the second layer; hoping that i filled in the gaps and small holes and will then apply another layer to the lower area. MTF!

The latest on my Space Bridge diorama. I had bought some Dark Energon Cubes from a seller on eBay. For my purpose they are on point. The quality is really good. The seller, collectorcraft, has other colors as well for the Energon cubes. It is worth checking out what they have.

In the photos i have them stacked just to show them off in general. The other shot, i have them scattered about on each side of the panel floor that is coming from the Space Bridge. In addition, i painted lines to replicate the panel look were Tarn is standing. I will add other little details later on.

I have managed to paint right side cliff which is the base color so to speak. I took a photo with Galvatron and the Sharkticon just for reference. The last photo i have started applying the next two colors. Kind of hard to tell somewhat but as you are looking at it, the right side has been dry brushed and the left side has not. Definitely plenty to work on though.

The weather warmed up a bit, i was able to sand on the actual Space Bridge but will have to wait until it is a lot warmer before applying more compound to the lower portion of it. Once i finished that up i will post a photo of it.

Looks like i have the right cliff area about were i want it. For a comparison between both sides i have included a photo that shows a “before & after” look. Also i decided to add some detail to the chain that comes with Galvatron; adding some silver and black paint in between the links.

I hope to have photos of the space bridge in a couple of days if not sooner. Today i did the final sanding on it and sprayed a first coat of paint on it. mtf!

I'm glad I decided to randomly check up on your collection page, my notifications haven't been working very well. This looks even better than I though it would and I still say some of us could learn from you. There seems to be a surprising amount of energon cubes on ebay, which seller's in particular were you so impressed with?

Appreciate your comments and for checking out the photos of the project. It is coming along, i should be uploading photos of the Space Bridge soon. I got it painted but still need to add lines and some other small details to it.

In my opinion the one seller that stood out for energon cubes was Collectorcraft. I know there is others who sell various size to include mini type energon cubes but for the bigger size i went with them. They even have energon cubes that can replicate like the cons are drinking from them. It gives you that liquid look inside.

I got the space bridge painted, it turned out pretty good. What i need to do next is get some lines painted on it and some details showing wear and tear then it should be good. The final part of it will be securing the lights on the inside but that will be one of the last things i do before securing it all in place.

From the photos i have uploaded, one note to point out the base ground area is not finished by any means but maybe in a day or so i will have that to a good point.
