Victorion references Victory and only vaguely sounds like the female human name Victoria, and if you deceide what name a robot from another planet should have based on human naming conventions I think that's nonsensical.
I think Slammoth sounds perfectly fine as a woman's name, after all there are many women's names from many different cultures that don't sound like female gendered name's to an english speaking ear. why should robots have to conform to any standard we can easily package and recognize?
Just because classice gendered characters like Arcee and Chromia and Arachnia and Strika all attempt to sound feminine doesn't make them any better.

Why should I bother they excluded many people from voting with their discrimination against windows users. I find it insulting that they opened it up to voting app only and did not provide an app for all the OS options.

Are people really complaining about the prospect of a female combiner? What's the worst that could happen with the idea? I think it could be neat, especially when you think of the possibilities like a valkriye themed team. Seriously, having new characters added isn't a bad thing even if they're repaints and retool.

It took them this long to become this inclusive in the first place. I think Hasbro is still a ways away from introducing non-binary characters, as much as that kind of representation would rock.

Still can't actually vote because I don't own an android/iphone. I thought I could vote with Google Play, but as far as I know it only lets you download apps to your smartphone from your PC, which frankly is redundant.

Being transgender isn't the same as being non-binary.

Well, except for the fact that since the original G-fragging-1 cartoon the Transformers have had at least two genders, which most often were accompanied by distinct physical differences from the so called Males of the species. Whether or not they reproduce sexually has nothing to do with their psychological genders or their sexual orientation and ability to fall in love (Hell, Powerglide and a human woman were in love, so that's like even more progressive).

And i particularly have a problem with the fact that you decided to use the word "sick" -- in its negative connotation -- to describe people who do not fit a narrow-minded binary.

Your entire argument is flawed and refuted by 31 years worth of cartoons, comics and merchandise. Hasbro is certainly okay with multiple genders for these robots. Who are you to say that they cannot be male or female? These are ALIEN ROBOTS, why do they have to conform to ANY of our expectations on what constitutes the defining characteristics and traits of one gender or another?

If I could vote for this, I'd definitely vote Female, named Slammoth. Because there's a character already in transformers named Piranacon, and that's silly enough by it's self. There's also Slamdance, another silly name. I don't see why Slammoth can't be awesome! Quakebreak is a good name, but it's missing that tiny bit of entertainment that come with names like Killbison, Windbreaker, and Ratbat! Victorion sounds pretty dumb.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know whether or not voting multiple times in the app actually has an effect or is it just pointless because one user only gets one vote per category?

It's actually more similar to what Capcom did for the NES Mega Man games. People could send in designs of their own bosses and Capcom would pick 8 and implement them into the games. However, the themes of the levels and the general theme that the boss should have were determined in advance to save time. The exception would be Mega Man 4's Skull Man, which the designers liked so much they scrapped one pre-planned level and made his from scratch.

In short, "steering" anticipated results happens more than you think. Heck, I suspect even some lotteries are guilty of that.

Even if there were a set plan that Hasbro expect us to go down for this combiner, there is no guarantee it would pan out that way.

Yes there are choices that seemingly work better with each other, and I freely admit I voted for both the Sea of Rust and the palette including orange because I felt if they won they would complement each other. But a simple look at the reaction to the current round of voting is should the diversity of responses possible.
FYI: Female, Independent, Victorion, and don't care for a set rival.

Is there likely a path they would prefer which affected the options they offered? Very likely, because just within the basics of the task they had to present that would occur consciously or subconsciously. Does this mean they have everything already lined up, and this is a sham? I doubt it.

What other reason do you need, other than the fact that there has never been one?

You all are arguing about the gender of the combiner and how it needs to be female. All I want is a cool toy. Hell, I don't even care if the toy isn't that great, as long as we get a cool new character. I love Windblade as a character. Her toy isn't the best, mainly just problems with transforming it, but in the comics she's awesome. Seeing these are probably all going to be redecos and retools we likely won't have that problem. Sure, I'd love for it to be named Slammoth and walk on all four, but I'm excited to see whatever we get. I have faith in the design team at Hasbro and the writers at IDW to make whatever gets voted on work.

Beast Machines had a lot of problems, I'll grant you, but it's still miles ahead of Armada or Energon. Honestly, it's probably better than the G1 cartoon too, not that the G1 cartoon's that good.
