Yo, one thing you need to learn is that in life not everyone lies to people. I for example don't like to suger coat anything, so if i think something looks like crap then im gonna say it looks like crap. Im not trying to be mean or anything, im just being honest. If you cant take honesty in this world then you need to learn how to, because the world isnt suger coated and you arent wrapped in bubble wrap.
And whose optimus prime picture are you referring to? It better not be the one in my sig because i will have you know that is one of the best pictures i have ever drawn, and it is perfectly proportioned as i used the actual MP figure for reference. If you think otherwise then show me your drawing skills and then we'll see who has room to talk.
I have the right to criticize as i am a well experienced painter, so if i see something that is horribly executed and poorly made, and then the person has the front to try and sell it for a high price then im obviously going to have something to say about it.
And if you are too afraid to show your customs on an Internet forum where nobody knows who you really are or even care then you have some deep issues and you should see a doctor.

Oh no,.....did my "honesty" hurt your feelings? Perhaps those comments above illustrate my point in it's entirety. It's not a perfect world, and life dose have a way not caring about your feelings, but we as a fandom need to be supportive of each other. I saw a "Christmas Prime" on ebay awhile back that I wasn't all that impressed with, but someone put time and effort into it. I guess what I'm driving at here is that constructive criticism is more than enough for your fellow transfans.

In case you didn't notice my initial response to this thread was perfectly acceptable. It wasn't until people started attacking me for it (for no reason) that i started to get a little hostile (which any normal person would when someone starts conflict)
Heres the original response since you seem to have missed it:
"That really isnt that good. The concept is great and im surprised more people havnt done it already, but this one is really lame. The paint apps look horrid, and the white looks like tip-ex."
Sounds constructive enough to me. What is best at the end of the day is honesty and that is all i have been here. People need to stop getting so up in arms when someone speaks their mind and stop attacking those who have the decency to do so and not lie to everyone, this isnt just a problem on these forums, its everyday life as well. IMO it is demeaning to do so, to lie to someone about something instead of just telling them how you feel. People do that to kids. They patronize them and lie to them about the truth, would you rather i speak to people like they are 4 years old?
So honesty is more than enough for "fellow transfans" and people in general. If someone just tells this guy it looks fine then he'll keep making stuff which looks the same wont he? However if someone has the balls to tell him its not very good and tell him whats wrong with it (i.e. paint apps that look like tip-ex) then he'll notice his mistakes and work on them with the next project.
Theres no need to jump on someone every time when they state how they truly feel, and then childishly attack something they have done in return, even if that something has nothing wrong with it. To do that, i.e. nitpick, lie, and demean something thats perfectly fine is just like a little kid in the playground who has been told he has big ears and then he responds with "yeah well...you're a poopy pants!".
This is how i see whats going on here. Im not allowed an honest opinion, so i am attacked for it and then people try to find excuses as to why my work is crap as well, even though it clearly isn't. Not saying everything i do is perfect, but in this case i am right. If you want a legitimate drawing of mine to make fun of then i'll upload one if that is what people so desperately need.
Really, these forums are starting to get me down what with peoples attitudes and constant bickering and arguing. Im almost tempted to ask for a three day ban. I need a break from this madness.

It's quite obvious to me that frenzy_rumble has a hard on for sonray. I don't know why, but I've seen him go after Sonray on a few occasions ... unprovoked.
Whether that means anything to anybody, I don't know. It's just what I see.

I'm just not a fan of 'artists' bashing other artists' work. I'm also here to help and support fellow kitbashers and repainters with opinions, tutorials, PMs, and stuff. I look out for this community's better.

Unfortunately, my life has flipped upside down since I created that thread.
If the streak of rain wasn't enough to postpone my picture taking ... it just got worse and then unbelievably HORRIBLE.
The main thing, my Father just passed away at the young age of 51. All of our family resides in CA, so I'm in the process of solely handling his estate. In doing this, I earned a 46 mile commute to work everyday, one way.
By the time I get home, darkness. I guess I can find time during daylight to take the pictures, but I think I may have exhausted my welcome with Overcracker (the one who was to perform the grimlock avatar task).
I'll hit him up again, maybe I'll at least PM and apologize for the delay.

I am in agreement with that. In saying what I did ... there may have been some stuff between the 2 of you that I didn't see before that. I should just get my nose out of it while I can.
I'm sorry for your loss Alien.
Thanks for the kind words!

I really don't know what to do with myself honestly, now that he's gone. Basically, having people around ... and telling funny stories about him are what helps me most. He was such a character and didn't even have a clue about it.
If there's 1 thing everybody should do this week ... spontaneously call, visit or contact your parents however you can. Tell them you love 'em.
Once they're gone that's it, no more "concrete" chances.
I didn't realize how much I wanted to say until he was gone, but it's too late now. I narrowed it down to that 1 thing I'd like to say, which I hadn't said for about 2 years. Breaking through the "manliness" of a father/son relationship isn't easy. Just do it, no matter how he reacts ... tears are still going to well up inside of him no matter how cool he tries to be.
Sorry for the hijack guys, I don't want this to consume the thread any longer.

Sorry to hear 'bout your loss Alien. You're a new face to me on these boards, but after a blow like that my thoughts are with you as if it were the father of my best friend. I hope the commute & such don't make worse what must already be such a tough time.

Yeah dotn worry bout the hijack, this thread needed a good hijacking anyway to get rid of the stink it had created.
I am pleased to say that i see my folks everyday, and spend most of the day fooling around with customizing cars with my dad. (he's teaching me everything he knows..or trying to, thats a lot of information to soak up lol)
Once the car is finished i hope to show you guys on here. Its not TF related apart from the yellow and black color scheme, but i think its going to be something for me and him to be really proud of so i hope you guys wont mind too much.

Thanks very much. I appreciate you chiming in here ... since you created the thread and all.
I actually tried to imagine what this would be like a few months ago when he had his 1st heart attack. I wasn't even close. My whole outlook on life has changed, but not in a bad way at all.

I always wanted to build a car with my Dad. It probably would've been some kinda Mopar with a 440 6-pack. He loved his Mopars.
Yellow/black, and the fact that it's a car is plenty enough TF related, so don't even hesitate to post it on here.
What kind of car is it?

This is one of the reasons that I don't post my kitbashes here. Because some of you (who are seemingly lacking in the social department) have no way to express your criticism in a constructive way. I could easily say that "I think someone's home drawn Optimus Prime, with a hugely over-sized head, poor colors, and what appears to be mucus lines dripping from all of the corners is awful". But I don't because I appreciate everybody's effort and willingness to share around here. Oh, and if you want to criticize me,...I'm afraid I wont be able to respond until I get home from my full time job.

I like optimus prime better in flames makes him have more of a bad ass feel to him. Man I hate Prime LIKE BAD! but the movie raised my respect for him (mainly how he killed bonecrusher) This Kitbash repaint ect is cool and i wouldnt mind to have one even though I wish someone could make a better gun for prime. It looks well a bit.... I dunno how to word this so i wont. I love the rest of the figure though. Who ever made it keep up the good work and improve.
