Do you count Mini-Cons and incompletes?

For a TF collection, do Mini-Cons count as a figure towards your total?
What about incompletes? Because my G1 Optimus looks like crap and I'm missing every piece. He still has his body parts though. Does he count?
What about Gestalts? Does just the combined form count or all of them or just the smaller bots?

I don't count minicons which come with bigger figures but when they come as a set, such as the dirt digger team, they're counted. As for gestalt pieces, I count them individually. With regards to incompletes, I count them if they're at least 80% intact. I've got a Beast Wars silverbolt with a missing forearm and I count him but my G1 Jetfire with missing arms and backpack, he's not.

If you still got the bot count it. The only reason I didn't count Minicon is Iforgot who came with who and their too many of the little buggers. Combiners count as their separate forms because most have to be bought seperately. Roller and the Nebulons don't count but count still be listed:
Powermaster Optimus Prime w/ Hi-Q
Partnered Minicons the same way:
Hotshot w/ Jolt
My list is in the "who has the biggest tf collection"
I didn't realize how many I had until I broke out a calculator and added up the line totals. I have a problem

It's hard to say about minicons, but I don't own any so it's not an issue for me.
I would count incompletes and the individual gestalt bots, but not the combined form.

I don't count those dreadful things at all
Maybe I should do to them what I did to Wheelie 20 years ago

They way I see it Minicons count—even if they came with a bigger bot. They are supposed to be their own character and technically they transform from robot to alt. Same for Target Masters, Micromasters, and Power Masters. Just because they are small, doesn't mean they shouldn't be counted. Head Masters are different though since I only count them as one since they become the head of the robot. For gestalts I count them individually and not the combined mode since the definition of gestalt is: A structure, configuration, or pattern of physical, biological, or psychological phenomena so integrated as to constitute a functional unit with properties not derivable by summation of its parts. As for incomplete bots, count them unless they are duocons or something similar. That's my 2¢ on this topic...

They transform, hence they are transformers. Therefore they count as transformers. I don´t count doubles ( I have 2 Energon Inferno, 2 Energon Wing Sabers, 2 Vector Primes)

Figures like Mini-cons makes Transformers what it is, and it also makes it unique, so yes, they're definetly counted.

It seems as if this topic comes up every other week.
I propose four possible answers that should put an end to this seemingly endless debate once and for all. Choose the one that fits your style.
1) Yes, minicons count. If it has name it has a number. Gestalt pieces too, plus one for the big bot.
2) Keep two counts. One for regular TFs and one for minicons.
3) Minicons don't count. They are accessories.
4) Don't count your TFs at all. Nobody really cares how many you have. It's the love of Transformers that brings all together. That should be enough.

I'd like a number four with a side of QFT.

i don't count minicons, or legends, but thats partly because i haven't bothered to count in a long time. I'm a bit affraid of what i'll learn about myself.
however, if i *were* to count them, i'd probably count them as a package. for cybertron, i'd count both of the minicon vs. two-packs as one. for classics, i'd count all 3 of the figures in each pack as one.
truthfully, as much as i love the minicons, i can't even be bothered to remember their names. but i can tell by looking at them at the store if i already have them based on seeing them alone, even down to specific repaints. (i feel i should make this distinction because i have a friend who has bought several video games TWICE because she hasn't kept track of what all is in her collection.)

When I count my TFs I count the minicons as 1 for the entire team. For those that came w/ the bigger bot I count them w/ the larger partner. I've long since gotten rid of my armada/energon characters except for Unicron and 5 minicons from Armada and 2 others from Universe. I have bought only 1 Legend: Scourge from Cybertron and I count him as 1.

As far as I'm concerned, my (complete) minicon collection hasn't existed since Armada ended. Nor do I count fattimus Prime's limbs.
Actual Gestalts count as the total number of bots used to form it, so either 5 or 6 normally.
I don't have any incompletes. It's my mission to complete them!
So, I don't count incompletes either.
