The funny part of this is I had no problems pulling up capped and uncapped G1 Megatron's (including MISB Encore's) on Ebay's US side five minutes ago. Why would they ban the toy on the UK side, but not the US side?
EDIT: SpacerAM2 beat me to the same point by about 30 seconds.

What a coincidence then?

Fear not, I love buying tons and tons of crap cos I can- I am a tf collector after all
It's just the government in the UK is so **** up it's unbelievable. We seem to be stuck swimming in smaller and smaller circles, heading towards the plug-hole at the centre.

Just wondering if anyone is going to give the UK as much crap over this as they did the US.

I hate to say it, but it's probably because ebay is an American company. It's no secret that Americans aren't typically in tune with what's going on beyond our own borders. Just my two cents...

I think it reflects poorly on the society in which we live.
Let's not lose sight of the fact that this is a children's toy which can't actually hurt anybody. Regulating real weapons that can hurt people is fine, but penalising people who want replicar or toys guns is just laziness from the authorities.
MP Megatron is not a kid's toy. It is meant for and marketed towards adult collectors.
Laws are made to protect the general public. It is not illegal to own, buy or sell MP Megatron (unless you are in Australia). eBay choosing to not allow selling of Megatrons is based on two things: their company philosophy and fear of lawsuit. To eBay, it is an ethical and litigious decision to pull Megatron auctions.
Megatron sales are a small fraction of the tiniest drop of their overall sales, so the will not miss any lost revenue but can conscientiously protect themselves from a potential lawsuit and bad press should some person get shot by police waving around a Megatron they bought off eBay.
Not that I like their decision, but I feel it has nothing to do with a democratic or commonwealth government.
