Favorite Weird Al Songs/Albums
- Motto: "You only live thrice."
- Weapon: Buffalo Missile
Since Weird Al is sort of a part of the Transformer's universe, I was wondering if anyone has a favorite song or album of his. My favorite album is Polka Party, and song is "Trigger Happy" from Off the Deep End. I'm not even a gun person, but the song just cracks me up every time—how about you?

Well, a few of my favs are The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota, You Don't Love Me Anymore, and The Night Santa Went Crazy. Weasel Stomping Day on Robot Chicken was good for a laugh too.
And all hail the glory that was UHF.

Like I could narrow it down to one. There's just waaaaay too many classics to single out a favourite.

Wow! I guess I'm not the Weird Al fan I thought I was! I haven't heard of some of those, but I also haven't had a chance to purchase the last two of his albums. I also somehow missed out on Alapalooza. But other than that I know all the albums pretty good. And UHF—well, I'm one of those guys who went to Batman instead, but a good friend did introduce me to it finally in high school.

I haven't really cared for much past Running With Scissors. My music tastes varied too much from what he was basing the parodies off of. Anything before that though is just classic in my opion.

Very true! I guess I enjoy his original songs where he copies a style the most.

I kind of ran into that as a kid listening to his music in the 80s. I never listened to top 40 radio (or any radio for that matter living out in a rural community). So I didn't understand a lot of his parodies. Songs like Addicted to Spuds, I Think I'm a Clone Now, and Alimony where just songs to me. Running with Scissors was the only album I knew every parody of. But yeah, I'm not a fan of a lot of new stuff today, so I guess that's why I haven't bought his last two albums.

Amish Paradise definitely is one of my favorites.
Eat It's music video always cracks me up, too. Do I Creep You Out?, one of his newer ones is pretty cool. I like a lot of his music, always have.

Eat It with the video is just awesome. I also liked Amish Paradise.
The Biggest Ball of Twine in MN song inspired me to
go check it out. Just be prepared to get lost 20 times while trying to find the town of Darwin, and don't forget to eat at the Twine Ball Inn.

White and Nerdy, All about the Pentiums, and Amish Paradise are all huge favourites of mine, but I love it when he takes popular songs and sets them to polkas.

So, has anyone else had the chance to see him live? It's been a couple of years since I went to one of his shows. The amount of energy he has on stage is quite impressive.

I haven't had a chance to see him live, but did watch a live concert of his on VH1. He really does get into it.

I remember when Disney Channel used to show his live concert sometimes. His career has lasted longer than most musicians' ever will. And he's got more talent as well...
I think White and Nerdy is my favorite of his more recent stuff.

Re: Favorite Weird Al Songs/Albums
His interviews were the best - anyone remember? He always edited them to make the artist look like a total douchebag (which really isn't hard anymore nowadays), and he was such a perfectionist that he always recreated the set of the interview so that it really looked like HE was the one doing the interview.
And his parody of Michael Jackson's "Black or White" video remains to this day one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my entire life.

I liked his interviews with Eminem and Celine Dion. And his Harvey the Wonder Hamster bit.

Don't Download This Song and Hardware Store.
Oddly enough, neither are direct parodies.

I used to sing "Yoda" for my coworkers when I worked at a bagel factory. Also, I once woke up my mom by singing to Alapalooza early in the morning.

A buddy and I sang Yoda at prom along with Nirvana songs rewritten as parodies about school and our teachers. Good times!
