Gambit to appear in Wolverine (but isn't it too late?)
http://www.superherohype.com/news.php?id=6813
We all wanted him in the X-Men movies and each time we were denied. Now we finally get him in the Wolvierine Spinoff.
I don't know. After the disaster that was X-Men 3, I've pretty much given up hope of the movie franchise as awhole. Putting Gambit in is more likely an attempt to boost movie sales since they know a lot of people were turned off by the way X3 was done. I'd have been happier if Gambit actually was in the X-Men movies and done right.
The movie franchise needs a nice long hiatus and then a reboot done right.

I've doubt it will be good to, but I bet it'll at least be enjoyable.

I disagree here, but only based on personal taste, not anything else. I'm one of the few who liked X3 (sorry, Wolverine and Storm 1). Maybe not as much as the other two movies, but enough to find it enjoyable--and it had more Colossus than 2.
So if they're going to make Wolverine or X4, I'd rather not see a reboot. To me, reboots are retreading stuff that's already been done. Sure it worked for Batman (in a huge, huge way, I admit), but I don't feel X-Men needs it as much.
On topic, I was never a Gambit fan. Honestly, I didn't miss him in the movies as others did. And putting him in a Wolverine movie seems like putting Cap in a Spider-Man movie: basically they worked together a lot. If they need to fill Wolvie's supporting cast up, use Jubilee, Mariko, Silver Samurai, Sabretooth, or any other number of goodies or baddies. But, then, like you said, Gambit's probably there to fill seats and sell DVDs.

In a Galaxy Far Far Awry issue 1: Serial Fiction Sideshow now for sale.
Issue 2: Home Sweet Home Invasion also for sale.
Back issue 3: Technophobia coming soon. And you can help!

Here's what I don't get... They're gonna have Sabretooth in it. Okay, that's cool. But in the first movie they established they aren't mortal enemies like in the comics. So how are the gonna explain how they didn't recognize each other in X-1?

Are you for real?????Do you even know how many times Wolverine has had his memories altered or completely removed????They mind wipe him all the time.
The same could be done in the film.

Hmm. I infered that this movie would be set after his mind was wiped, in the three yars he was roaming around before meeting up with the X-men.

You inferred nothing. All you asked is:
JazZeke wrote:So how are the gonna explain how they didn't recognize each other in X-1?
And as I said a mind wipe would handle that.Wolverine has had his memories tampered with quite a few times in the comics.
So I can see it being that in the new movie his mind was wiped during the weapon x program and again after that before running into Sabertooth again in X-1.

That is just spectacular. He could pull it off, definitely.
As for X3, I enjoyed it. Yeah, it was a little heavy on Wolverine and Storm. But it gave just enough closure that I won't be constantly wondering what's going to happen next.

I said infer, not imply. There's a big difference--look it up.

I never said I inferred it from the posted article. That was the idea I got from reading previous descriptions of the movie's synopsis when it was first announced.

But your use of the word "infer" is still confusing. But I dont want to get into a hudge debate over a small misunderstanding.
As for the issue with the characters.....like I said Wolverine has undergone quite a few mind wipes before the weapon X program and after it in the comics.
I can very eazly see a mind wipe being used by the writters to explain why Wolverine has no memeroy of meeting Sabertooth durring the 6 or 9 years between his excape from the weapon x program and meeting the X-men.

I inferred, or surmised, or concluded from my previous readings the idea that this movie was going to be set between his mindwipe and X-1. Maybe I was wrong, maybe they changed it since then. No need to get up my craw because I had the wrong idea.

Meaning that maybe we both misunderstood each other.Dont take things so personal.
Any way the point I'm trying to make is that since the character has had his mind f'd with so much it wont be that big of a leep to believe that it was done again.
