Getting Someone Into Transformers?
What would be the best way to get someone who has seen Bay's films, but hasn't gone any farther in their Transformers exposure? I was thinking the original cartoon but I don't know which episode I should show them.

Kremzeek! is a great G1 episode. I watched it the other day and couldn't help but laugh. Funny episode.

Oh, come on. Surely it has to be the Desertion of the Dinobots episode? Every casual TF fan I know loves the idea of robots that can transform into dinosaurs. Plus the fact that it has some of the strongest characterisations and plot of the entire G1 run.

It's safe to assume that I'm just taking the piss.

Show 'em Armada. Or, if you want a single episode, Show them the episode of Transformers Cybertron "Retreat", where Starscream takes on and defeats every single Autobot

More than Meets the Eye and Desertion of the Dinobots should be enough to hook anybody!
Maybe the Ultimate Doom trilogy too, but its a bit lazy in places

If you truly want to get them into Transformers, start with Prime. That show looks a lot like the movieverse, which they will be familiar with, has great animation, plotting, writing and is just a very good show.
If you start with G1, they'll get confused, due to the designs and stuff, won't appreciate it and write off the entire franchise as being silly and stupid.
So start with Prime and let them discover "their" TF show first, then show the the older classics, and leave Animated till last, that is a show that's best appreciated when you can understand the Easter eggs.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Agreed. I was pleasantly suprised by Animated, and the amount of nods and Easter Eggs to Transformers Lore

MTMTE
The Movie
Fire in the Sky
Fire on the Mountain
Dark Awakening
Money is Everything
The Nightmare Planet
Grimlock's New Brain
Anything from Season 2 of G1 should be avoided. Apart from Masquerade and Cosmic Rust.
To be honest, I prefer the comics. MTMTE and the Movie are really the only episodes I feel would appeal to an adult who hasn't grown up with them.
Beast Wars/Machines and Prime are probably better shows to introduce them with.
I would suggest Animated but things like Angry Archer and Prof Princess harken back to G1 childishness like Kremzeek.
