I don't believe that this version of Zartan has the color changing features of the 25th anniversary version. As you may have seen, the flesh tone on the face is more peach colored as opposed the the yellowish green of the former. Granted they used a similar mold for the face/ head, the tones would be a bit off if they had used the feature for the Animated version of Zartan.

I love the comic two pack beachhead I just changed over to his other head amazing it gives the figure a whole different look. I can't wait to get my hands on the 2nd edition zartan with swap scooter he just looks so much cooler than the original release even if he doesn't change color.

well I just got back from a JOE hunt:

Finally got ym hands on the Arise Serpentor Arise DVD pack. I also came across the desert coloring AWE Striker, which I passed on since I ahve the green variant and desert variant had nothing new to offer. Leatherneck also apparently comes with only a rifle and has the Duke Arms. Might wanna wait for a single card or 2-pack.

The 5 pack is decent though it could have benefitted from Dr. Mindbender or any of the newer dreadnoks, instead of the skeleton since Sgt. Slaughter can't be used (thanks Vinnie Mac). Serpentor also has horrible coloring compared to re-release images we've seen. Dusty and the BAT are fine though. Dusty's helm is removable and the BAT has the red faceplate with bazooka. I don't like Serpentor but I'll have him as Cobra Commander's General of the Cobra Military instead of the other way around.

I also came across a cartoon-accurate Ripper, which I passed on.

Sgt. Slaughter was released by the wwe so they no longer hold the rights to the name since he has used the name in a number of other wrestling orginzation but since they moved on to resolute the chance of seeing a Sgt. Slaughter figure are next to impossible although we might see a Dr. Mindbender figure in the resolute lineup since they promised a number surprises that will be announced before the movie comes out.

Yeah it's weird I thought more stuff from the movie line would be leaking out since were starting to get TF2 stuff. I'm surprisingly interested in the movie which is funny since most everyone else I talk to really isn't happy about it.

Well, I found teh second wave of COMBAT HEROES at retail. Flint Vs. Baroness, Scarlett Vs. Destro, Barbecue Vs. Storm Shadow, and Beachhead Vs. Serpentor.

Other than that, I have been working on filling in my MOSC collection. FOund some figs I needed for that like Zartan with Swamp skier, and Cobra Diver...

Hey tigertracks does the zartan with swamp ski change color just wondering because I haven't been able to find a answer to that question anywhere I have looked. Also I love the cobra diver have had him for awhile now I'm looking for the cobra eel hope to find him soon.

Well got my zartan and cobra commander with mass device crystal today. I love this version of zartan he was well worth the wait even if he doesn't change color because if he did due to weather here in washington state at the moment he would have turned blue since the new versions react to cold unstead of heat.

Has anyone seen the movie stuff in Toy Fair? I think some of it looked surprisingly good.

The Scarab (super detailed Hummer with lots of armor an guns) looks absolutely awesome. Probably the best thing I've seen from the entire movie line. Looks very realistic and modern with classic touches of Cobra all over.

Included is the Motor Viper, who we can only see the upper half of. From that he looks pretty good. Like a cross between a classic Motor Viper and an Decimator. A little simple, but pretty cool.

Then there's also Convoy Attack Duke, that looks inexplicably terrible... I mean just absolutely terrible. He sports a neat desert uniform, but his head is just kind of pathetic. Might be okay with an head swap.

We can also see Hawk, who looks just like Flint... I mean JUST LIKE FLINT. I don't really see why they bothered calling it Hawk. Looks pretty good.

Then there's the Baroness who we've all probably seen by now.

Thoughts?

Hey nekoman is it on-line at the Toy Fair website or is just in the magazine because if it is also on-line could supply a link to the pictures because I would love to see them. Since we haven't seen much from the movie yet.

Indeed, Scarlett is not bad either. I am still not sold on the guys though. The sigma six outfits are not awesome, to me anyway.

Snake Eyes I am so, so on. He has a lot of 'gadgety' looking stuff that I am just not sure why he has it. Seems like it would clank and clang, and take away the stealthiness. And shiny??? No thanks.
