Hasbrro UK confirm: Generations is returning to the UK this summer.
Well, in spite of apparently selling okay, Generations just kinda disappeared from the U.K after a few months...So i contacted Hasbro UK to see if they had any plans....and got this back.
Dear *******
Thank you for contacting us regarding our Transformers product line.
I am happy to confirm that we will be offering the Fall of Cybertron line this coming summer and that it will be exclusive to the Argos chain.
In the interim, please check your local retailers for the newest products from the Transformers Prime line, including the recently released Revealers: Ratchet and Knock-Out.
Kind regards,
Tracey

Hm. Exclusives?
Are they maybe thinking of doing the same thing as they did with Wave 1?
It wouldn't be exactly sensible to only release them limited and in only one store.
Nice to know that Wave 2/3 should be out soon thought!

Well I'm not messing about with customer views for the sake of deluxes. Funds willing I'll just get cases in from BBTS and split the doubles up among the ODB.

If we are lucky enough to get all the Combaticons in one case, I'll probably do the same. Argos is a bit rubbish, really, no? I wonder how much time they'd save by just scanning each product in these assorted waves when they come in, rather than having to go and get a bunch of them every time someone wants to check if they've got what they're after?

Re: Hasbrro UK confirm: Generations is returning to the UK this summer.
Having worked in an Argos store about 10 years back I can safely say that individual stores don't even get full cases sent out from the warehouse. The daily deliveries (might be less often when it's not coming up to Christmas) come in loose in cages in whatever numbers are needed to replenish stock on what the computers were showing a couple of days before, so there's no guaranteeing that your local store will ever get in a specific figure even if they get the rest of a wave. Add to that the fact that they put impossible to get off cleanly stickers on the boxes/cardbacks with their catalogue numbers on and they're alienating the MISB crowd as well (not that this bothers me). I try to only use them for worthwhile exclusives like MP Skywarp or sale items.

At the risk of being cynical (moi?), after some emails sent to them last year, H'UK stated that Generations would "continue into the spring".
Hopefully tho', this will come to pass...

Me too, I'd hate having to go all the way to the US just to get them for cheap.

You assume it's a given that the US will get them. While we very well might, recent track record shows you can't take that for granted.

fair point, Dark, but so long as I can order them online (with an exorbitant shipping cost) I will have my FOC Bruticus and Shockwave. Someone else can take Fattimus Prime; I'm not sure about Jazz yet.

Good news but why bloody Argos? They make shopping for figures a pain, you have to wait for them to send one of each down and then you find you already have them all and feel guilty for walking out with nothing.

Transformers Generations Fall of Cybertron confirmed for UK?
- Motto: "Don't do drugs, beer's cheaper anyway!"
Newcomer member UltraMagnuss has dropped by to share with us an e-mail he states he received from Hasbro UK as an answer to his e-mail if Transformers Generations will come back to the UK after it was cancelled after the first 3 Waves.
So it looks like the FOC toy line will come to the UK, the first wave at least, but do take this with a grain of salt.

Dont know who stated that generations was cancelled in the uk after wave 3, i found thundercracker, wheeljack and warpath in my forbidden planet a few months after general release.
im not sure how happy i am about argos. the nature of the store means you cant just pop in to check their figures, its near impossible to accurately report sightings and they are monumentally bad for regular restocks. thank god for Kapow. id rather pay an extra few quid on postage to get the full wave immediately without the fuss

Euro carded?
FP is a well known import store....
The only stuff to hit the UK was wave 1 and possibly 2, but I never saw it personally.

I'd say it would take more time to do it that way. The folks working through the deliveries at the stores and the distribution centres would still have to go through each case one figure at a time, not to mention the extra time and effort required to create seperate catalogue numbers for each character some of which you'd potentially never see. It just wouldn't be worth it logistically.
Argos is no different from any other toy retailer. It's hit-n-miss no matter where you go, the only difference is you have to talk to someone first at Argos before you leave disappointed. At least if Generations is exclusive to Argos chances are they'll get more variety: you know, as much as variety in the UK goes.

So i guess this means Ratchet and knockout (hopefully Arcee and the Vehicon) should be popping up soon.
I want to see more of the FOC line before i put money aside for them, but it's great news for those interested
It's just not going to be fun trying to track down all the componants of bruticus :/ especially at Argos, yes it's managable, you just have to ask if you can check which they have in, but it's still a pain, i much prefer seeing my choices on a shelf.

I guess this new Generations line will not come to the Netherlands. Anyone knows something about if it does or not?

Probably not. We were never that good in keeping more than one line.
