Wasn't Corey Burton in the old G1 cartoon? Who did he play?
Pity they wouldn't get Welker for Megatron.

He's a pretty talented VA. I wouldn't sell him short just yet. If you think about it, Starscream from the unicron trilogy wasn't anything close to starscream, but the fans ended up liking him. I say wair it out, hear what he sounds like then cast judgement. Just my two cents though:wink:

I agree that is sounds wierd. I also have a hard time picturing Starscream going jelly fishing with his "friends" Thundercracker and Skywarp.

The last 3 shows were dubed in Canada, this one is being done in the US, apart from David Kaye none of them were willing and/or able to emigrate.

That sucks. Michael Dobson is a good voice actor. Also a very nice guy. Got to meet him at an anime convention one time.

First time I met him my boss had me take him out for drinks to get away from an expo. When I brought him back we were both hammered and he couldn't sign any more autographs.

I don't like Teen Titans. My main reason for this is because of the childish plots in several episodes such as one where the villian was nothing more than a evil school teacher. He was basicly the embodiement of everything kids hate about going to school.
There are a few good episodes of Teen Titans but they're all featuring the same villain, Slade. Everything elce is crap.
Teen Titans allso seems to have taken away a major part of the life of a super hero, the alter ego. I have not seen one single episode or screen shot from this series that shows Robin or any of the other characters out of costume. This is fine to do with some unknown superhero that's just made up for a spacific program like the Crimson Chin on Fairly Odd Parrents but to do it to well know characters like Robin and Cyborg.
When I first heard about the Teen Titans series I was exspecting something like Justice League and was allso exspecting Static Shock to be one of the titans. Insted I got the disapointment of the Anime rip off series known as Teen Titans.
Transformers allready was animated in that styal so it wouldn't make much difference to me as I'm allready use to seeing them that way I just thought I'd let you know that not all the fans were happy with the Teen Titans series.

I can see where your coiming from. I like the way the Characters are built upon in the show, but at times it is a touch too childish, even though it is a kids show. I don't mind the animation, in fact, I would dare say that I enjoy it. But for Transformers, I just don't feel that confident. I was watching another show that could have potential the other day, Ben 10. My nephew likes the show and always pretends his watch can turn him into the fire guy. Anyways, I wasn't so much watching it for the human charater aspect, as I was looking for anything machine based. I was lucky enough to catch an ep where a pod crashes on earth and "transforms" in to a robot to get the watch. On a scale of 1-10 I would have gave it maybe a 6. The colors were nice and the effect of the explosions were great, but as for the robots moving and over all look of them, I was swayed to say the least. I would prefer it by like the JLA shows, but even that is pretty close to Ben 10 in the way of robotics. I'll try staying optimistic about the show until we get a teaser clip of sorts.
Oh, I think thing there was one ep of TT that Robyn and Starfire were in dress atire for a prom or something like that. Gave them the "average Joe" feel. Although I think Robyn kept his eye thingy on.

i just read through kinda fast and this is what i gather from this is...
1) we know the VAs for Prime, Megs, Screamer, and a Siri character. Hopefully some have range because a few fans haven't heard them do a voice fitting the character they like. I'ld like to think the VAs have this range.
2) we know the art will be done by the art teams of Fosters and Tean Titans. Both very stylized and different than each other. My sister works for CN and I trust they are going in a different style than either of those.
3) Hasbro is in the drivers seat after the arma-ener-cyber- Trilogy. I think this counts as an improvement.
4) the premis is a young Prime being forged into the leader he is remembered as in our hearts. This can only be pre-ark era. sounds like a Warwithin pitch for a younger audience but still serious
but there are a few things i'm shaddy on...
1) So is Hasbro providing the writting team, building one from scratch or out sourcing to another group? I'ld like to know what works this writting team has done.
2) Does anyone actually know the style the art will be done in? What direction hasbro wants the artists to take?
3) Are the DW writting team, or concepts, being referenced at all for this?
So far there is nothing to suggest the childish episodes of the unicron trilogy or even the brit teacher episodes of teen titans would sneak into the show. If hasbro had a hand in the BW writting, i think the it could start of pretty strong. Atleast until they change things like with BM.
That a side, they have talented VAs who can put a new spin on old characters without loosing there core and an acclaimed art team to animate the show. Everything else seems to rest on the writters. I just hope i don't hear the words "yee" or "haw"

I think the titan animation sucks. They should keep the anime style animation. They should've got the guys that did IGPX to do it.

Maybe this is what Transformers needs. At the very least if it does resemble teen titans or fosters then kids will like it and they can keep the show on. I mean don't you guys want to have a transformers show running at prime time again? or at least not at 6 in the morning.

the animation shouldn't be too bad mind you they're lookin to reimagine G1 for a new generation so it makes sence. granted titan's wasn't the best cartoon out there but it wasn't that bad plus this is the studio that does hellboy and that show rocks. my only concern so far is the VO i understand that most of them are in canada but they could of at least found people here in the states that sound like them, my biggest commplant is tom kenny ok he does do a bad guy on the new batman cartoon but come on starscream Chris Latta must be rollin over in his grave

Yeah, that was one reason why I couldn't really watch the shows..too freakin early in the morning. Ah, give me a good show at night, where I can turn out the lights, have a can of Coke and a bag of popcorn, and I'll be happy.unicron129 wrote:Maybe this is what Transformers needs.
