I got my Titaniums today...

Postby Sportimus Prime » Mon Jun 25, 2007 7:02 pm

My Tits finally arrived.

First up is Thundercracker(WWI). This is my first evah Thundercracker, and he's not too bad. I got him since there is no CLASSICS Thundercracker available for everyone to buy (damn exclusives). Joints are good, and he's rather heavy. More than I thought he'd be at least. He makes a lousy toy, but I only like to display my Transformers anyway, so, I don't care about that.

Second is Starscream (WWI). Pretty much the same as what I said about Thundercracker. I like his colors though. I'd prefer that light gray they used for Classics Starscream instead of bright white, but that's okay. I have a small paint chip to touch-up on his nose. I think I have bright white paint somewhere that will hopefully match. Any suggestions???

Third up is WWI Ultra Magnus. His joints are pretty tight. He seems "floppy", but he holds up well though, so I won't complain. Again, lousy toy, but great for display. One thing though, he looks more like a Kup than an Ultra Magnus. I might just rename him Kup, and give the display stand to Classics Ultra Magnus. He fits perfectly on it anyway. Hmmm...

Anyway, I'm not thrilled, but I am happy. Happy enough that I got them, and they did not disappoint at all. However, for some reason, they're not all that thrilling, if that makes any sense.

Weapon: Sword
The Fallen is the best Titanium figure just for the bot mode alone. You should get it. He is a bit taller and wider than any of the other Titanium figures and the paint and sculpt are excellent. The alt mode is okay, but bot mode is awesome.

Unfortunately, all of the Titanium figures feel about the same as far as playability goes. They are obviously meant more for display.

The ones I got seem just fine for display, so I am pleased so far. I'm going to stay away from the Tank Megatron and Soundwave that seem to enjoy falling down as a special feature. The Fallen seems pretty cool. No hands though, but still cool. I hope I can touch up that paint chip on Starscreams nose.

I'm not happy with BBTS since both WWI SS, and WWI Magnus' boxes were caved in on the bottom. Toys R Us did a much better job in shipping Thundercracker. The box was perfect.

I hope that WWI Prowl will come out soon, as well as Skywarp. Maybe even a better version of Soundwave (WWI if there is one, or a Cybertron one).

Seriously bro, Buy Fallen(awesome), Sunstorm(great) and maybe Jetfire(good) and then flush the rest of the line and wait for the new wave.

Oh, I know it was tasteless, but I had to just say it once. I always say Titanium. Now that I got it out of my system my ti-ta-ni-ums are happily joining the rest of my collection. :)

Motto: "scream drive faster"
Weapon: Electro-Laser Cannon
Don't worry about the paint chips, it's going to happen even if you go at great lengths to prevent it

I'm looking forward to Starscream and Thundercracker, as well as Skywarp when he's released.

LOL, I won't. I am grateful of the mods not yelling at me for it too.

After having these 3 for a little while now, I have to say, they are pretty nice. WWI Ultra Magnus' legs are really wobbly when you pick him up. But, due to his weight, once you set him down, he stays put. His arms will stay in position which is somewhat a relief after watching a YouTube video of WWI Prime being shaken up, and his arms and legs flait around like crazy.

Thundercracker, and Starscream have something that UM should have had; ratcheted leg joints. It makes a huge improvement. They're standing side by side in front of 20th Anniversary Prime. Looks good since the stands look kind of similar. Die-casts have to stick together no matter which side they're on since they're so rare these days.

The Fallen, Sunstorm, Prowl, WWI Skywarp (if he comes out), along with a few others are definitely on my list. I appreciate the advice from this boards members. Thanks.

Inflatable advertising figures?

Well, UM's legs can "wobble" around pretty easily when you pick him up by his chest. It doesn't bother me since that "wobbly-ness" goes away once you set him down. He stands well, at least mine does anyway. :)
