Is there really any evidence that Wheeljack died during TF:TM?

Personally, I hope Wheeljack did die. I never liked him. Hate knowall scientist types like him and Perceptor.
In the IDW movie adaption, Beachcomber is observed to be lying beside Wheeljack and Windcharger.
Dirge, Thrust, Ramjet, Reflector and Shockwave all get destroyed by Unicron's fiery breathe.
Now those are characters I'd mourn.

And unless I'm mistaken, we see Beachcomber later in the movie, hanging within Unicron on the same conveyor belt as Bumblebee and Spike.

I cannot believe this is still going.
Look, Wheeljack is dead. We could send an email to Hasbro, Flint Dille, anyone else who was involved with the movie and ask them directly.
His ass is grass.
However (and this is one of the most important points...) if you want him to stay alive IN YOUR IMAGINATION, then do so.
Let the rest of us accept the fact that he's dead instead of pushing your bullshit agenda on the rest of us.
For God's sakes...it's a cartoon character!
And the reason he was brought back in Action Masters? He was a bankable name with the fans.
I just want to break something right now...this is stupid!

I don't care what the rest of you think, I'm going with "Wheeljack is dead" so I don't get a headache and/or lose my sanity.

3) You said it yourself other continuity. Not this one.
You still seem to be unable to accept that there is no actual PROOF he died at all. You seem to be able to discount every bit of evidence that he lived, but do you have ANY proof he died? Arcee's sad eyes don't count.
You can't prove he survived either.

Be calm. Relax. Don't do it. We have established that the official word is Wheeljack is dead. Now we are simply stating hypothetical ifs. Like I wrote earlier:
Me wrote:In my twisted mind, neither are dead. Just in Stasis Lock (eyes go dark in Stasis Lock). Windcharger appears briefly in CotP and Wheeljack in Victory, although his personality is different.
I think 'Jack survived and spent series 3, headmasters and Masterforce in the depths of Autobot City, almost as a 'Phantom of the Opera' type character due to the massive trauma he suffered to his brain. Also explaining his change in personality in Victory. But thats just me.
Only in our twisted version of events does he continue to live.

I'm not making the claim that something happened, you are. The proof is required by someone making that claim something happened.
The only proof I have to offer is his continued existance in TV commercials and the toy line. Even if he "died", they must have fixed him.

This looks like a funnly insanse conversation.
I know this is shoehorning newer ideas into a 20 year old movie, but if Wheeljack isn't dead (or Brawn, or Ironhide, or anyone else...) perhaps they are only in stasis lock. Even though that idea (fas as I know) doesn't come along until Beast Wars, that doesn't necessarily preclude its existance in G1. Same with Sparks. For the number of times Prime dies and returns, there would have to be some kind of Prime essence that gets moved from body to body. They couldn't just pile up and weld a bunch of robot parts and say "Poof! Prime!", so there must have been some kind of basic-distilled Optimus Prime that got implanted in a robot body. Stasis lock as pertains to BW doesn't mean that the spark will be lost, except in extreme cases (Dinobot), so even if Wheeljack was near death in TFTM he could have been rebuilt and transferred following the siege of Autobot City.
However, Devastator chucking that piece of wall at the building the launcher and Wheeljack were in, sure makes a compeling arguement that he's gone. I don't know. Just a point or two.

But Commercials are not cannon, and what happens in the cartoon doen't affect the toy line (there is the comic as well, and it can't relfect both at once can it?) So your proof is invalid.

So, basically...
In US cartoon continuity, he died.
In Japanese cartoon continuity, he didn't, or did but was rebuilt.
In toy continuity, he survived.
In comics...I don't remember.

I never saw Reflector or Shockwave bite the dust. Sure, the 3 coneheads, yeah. But not Shocks and the camera.

Reflector just sorta dissapeared. Shockwave was supposed to die when Unicron slammed his hand down on the control tower he was in, but that scene was edited in backwards. Sorta like the thrid moon was supposed to be the second, but the order of that was changed last minute as well.

Thats my understanding. I can't remember right now if Wheeljack died in the comics, but pretty much everyone died once or twice in those. (Except for Soundwave, Soundwave goes on forever!)

WHeeljack was among those put in stasis lock by Starscream in issue 50 of the Marvel comics I think.
In Dreamwave he was put into SL in the explosion of the Ark 2, and again when he defeated the metal virus, but both times he was fixed.
In the US TV show he may have been presumed dead by some fans, but there was no proof.

we've put this 1 to bed! as far as the original transcript of this thread, the US cartoon, he's dead! Kaput! Kicked the robotic bucket! He's Cosmic Rust Food! And if anyone brought any TF back to life in the cartoon it was the Quintessons!

Or Brawn lives! or did Jet/skyfire die in dark awakening, or RIRFIB/FIRRIB, or is Tarantulas a spawn of Unicron or was it just an insult? or which came first Megatron or the Constructicons? or...

Or, how about that exile, Blitzwing? Still lending the 'Cons a hand, even though Galvatron told him to take a hike!

Galvatron's crazy. He forgot all about it, and bought Blitzwing a beer the next time he saw him!
