It was a dark day for TF when they decided to kill of G1 Prime and all the first gen characters.

I'll grant, killing Prime cemented him as my childhood hero. And I liek Hot Rod (not Roddy tho), Galvy, and quite a few post "first two seasons", but the franchise just didn't have the clout it did for many, many years when they did that.

It was a dark day for Transformers when US law kicked in and the Classics Megatron had to be modeled after a Nerf Maverick gun.

I mean, WTF? Come on! They should've just... I dunno. Nemesis Prime or something. Granted, Classics Megatron is a great figure, but I mean... That's just not Megatron, dude.

It's not as much killing off Optimus Prime that was such a bad thing... It was killing him off IN THE FIRST 20 MINUTES of the Movie! :sad:
