Kid Friendly version of LA films.

Hey everybody, I have a nephew who is a huge TF fan, every time he sees me he talks with me about them so he can find out about the new stuff coming out and tell all his friends what to look forward to. he's 10 and his parents are extremely conservative in their views. he can watch the cartoons and he was allowed to watch the original(anime) movie after I removed the swearword from it and made him a copy. I really don't feel like going through both live action movies and removing all the non kid friendly words & topics of conversation. He really wants to see the LA movies but he can't unless they are censored accordingly. Does anybody know if there is a place to buy neutered versions of the movies or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and censor them myself? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Christopher

Can you record cable TV? The first one was on at least US TVs a few days ago (TNT had it, I think another one had it too, ABC?) and I'd imagine replay it a few times soon, which would've had to reasonably clean up the film.

EDIT: TNT is showing it next weekend:

I do a lot of video editing myself. I could edit them both and it would be seamless. I'm wondering how it would be if I edited the movies myself and.. somehow got them to you... Not entirely legal, is it? Hm...

Probably not entirely legal, according to BS laws. But since I own DVD & BluRay versions of both movies I believe I paid enough to edit them so that a CHILD(what the line was made for in the first place) can see it. Thanks for the replies guys, I think i'm just going to bite the bullet and edit them, any way you recommend for convenience and quality Scatterlung? Right now my plan is just rip the movies into AVI format on one of my PCs, do the cut work on the video files and then recode to DVD & burn. Direct DVD editing would be a Godsend, but I don't want to look up the best program for it. I-)

Basic tips for quality would always be things like remember to maintain the aspect ratio, and render it at the highest quality possible.

Best thing is to take a clip from the film, and render it using a bunch of different settings and see what works. Make sure you try an action scene so that you can tell if theres a drop in framerate/quality when lots is going on.

What are you using to edit them?
