Leader Class Prime Ion Cannon Broken

Postby Gee-atron » Sun Jul 15, 2007 4:03 pm

After literally 3 or 4 transforms my primes Ion cannon/gun seems to have given up, the toothed wheel still engages but the little V shaped raised piece doesn't catch the gun mount so when I slide the lever forward it's ok but when I slide it back (To retract) it doesn't move (It slips).

Anyone else had this problem??

I could just glue it!

weird. i've had that happen to me once before but had it catch and it works fine. i tried disengaging it with the gun part extended and the lever pulled back which is what i think you're seeing. mine won't reattach unless i slide the lever forward all the way until it clicks and locks into the catch for the gun. i'd say take it apart to get a better look at it if you haven't already.

Tried it, unfortunately the front seems to be glued and I didn't want to rip the plastic!

haha ok i tried taking it apart and i don't think it's glued. there's that metal peg closer to the ratchet which is connecting the red and blue halves together. anyways, when i removed the screws, the black disk became very loose and made the connection between it and the catch not work. so i think if the screw in that section were tightened more it might work, but not too much or it'll strip the plastic. if that's not the case and it's that v thing just not catching at all as if it's worn away or a factory mold error then you'd prolly just be fine gluing the friggin thing.

Cheers for hacking up your Prime fig for me, Very nice if I do say so!

I tried tightening up the screws, just made the action Stiffer, the V thing still looks ok, I think I may just have to live with it! Glueing would solve the issue but I hate having to Botch things! Thanks anyway!
