I read a couple of Man thing comics years ago and when the movie came out I was severely disappointed.
I just did not like it.
I just did not like it.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I think you're referring to Swamp-Thing from DC?
As Man-Thing from Marvel, is as far as I understood from the stuff I read about him the guardian of that Dimention gate thing in the swamp and is hurt by violent emotions like fear and anger so if you're scared of him you urt him so he touches you so that you burn to death.

It states that the comic version is a monster and not a superhero.
The Superhero is this guy:

Re: Man-Thing
Man-Thing the movie is not very great. However, the fact that they made a movie based on such an unknown character is great.
Man-Thing is one of my favorite Marvel characters, even though I haven't read a lot of issues with him. However, I like him because he makes for a good guest star. Hero, villian, unwitting savior, monster, he literally can fill just about any role the writer needs. Plus he can get practically disinegrated and still come back if he's in the swamp. What's great is that it all fits with the character: he is a mindless monster, and reacts to the emotiosn of others. No speech(save for some issues, according to info online), and since he has no memory, continuity between apperearnces is usually pretty moot. The ultimate blank slate. Heck, I even have an idea for a Mosaic I haven't written yet that could star him.
My fave issue that I've read with Man-Thing is Nomad #21. Just an all around good issue with Man-Thing being a villianous savior. I will admit, from what I've read, some of the issues from the actual Man-Thing comic are kind of weird.
My least favorite Man-Thing issue was his appearance in Ultimate Marvel Team-up #10. This issue came with Man-Thing's Legend(which is great figure). In the issue in question, Spider-man fights the Lizard. Fair enough. But Man-Thing literally appears out of nowhere, in the sewer. Then he touches the Lizard, and heals him. Huh? That's the extent of the "Team-up". He appears for like two pages. What a let down.

I've seen trailers for this and was curious about it too, as I've never heard ofthe character. After reading the gripes about it, which I can't comment on since I'm unfamiliar with Man-Thing in general, here's my question:
I like the made-for-TV-quality sci fi movies and stuff. So if the acting is bad or it looks cheesy, that doens't bother me. That being said, is it so bad that even my sensabilities will be offended?

The acting is good and the special effects are also very good.

Thanks, that's sort of how it looked to me from the trailer I saw, and I am kind of interested in checking it out but with some of the things people are saying, I guess I just wanted an endorsement.
