Masterpiece Megatron Questions (Perfect For First Time Owners And Those Not In The Know)

Weapon: Switch Blade Tail
Over the past months, I've read different posts telling about problems, modifications, etc...

Such as:

Arms popping off.

Panels popping off.

Removing ratchet springs, etc.

Tarnishing (not rusting) metal.

Tabs breaking, etc.

1.) Are these things true?

2.) What have you experienced?

3.) What have you done to fix it, or any options you can offer for those of us who aren't in the know?

Thanks!

My MP seems to be fine. Granted, I don't handle it too often ... at all.

His panels do pop off, but that's a good thing. If they didn't they might BREAK off ... and them popping off let's us insall those wonderful attachments ...

Edit: Scratch that. Upon closer inspection he is suffering from Cosmic Rust. Ah, well. Time to break out the WD-40 ...

"Arms popping off." While the arms on my Megatron aren't exactly popping off, the left arm on mine (cannon arm) has stripped out threads that hold his arm onto his shoulder. What's that mean? Well...basically if I even consider touching mine...the arm falls off.

Anybody want a slightly used Megatron...?

WOAH! Really? Mine has some pretty tight joints .... mind telling me how you did that so I won't do the same mistake?

I think that was largely my fault. The arm was very loose when I got the toy, so I tried to tighten the screw that holds it in place...and oversized the threads.
