I agree the scope is definately too heavy and large. Asphalt, I'm confused by what you mean by a gangly neck; it should fit right on top of his shoulders. I also agree that he is kinda delicate.
I am however embarressed to say that I was unable to transform him. Mostly due to the fact that I was very fearful of breaking his shoulders and neck. Gawd, Piranacon, any suggestions?

the elbows are the most dificult part, then they slide down just put pressure ont he parts hat are moving and make sure they line up fully, there is that last click which is scary , i checked for cracks in the plastic and flaws when i transformed him too

i start with the arms, then seperate his waiste, they you can transform his upper body and then his legs

took a few transformations ot make him line up properly

The parts that are giving me the most trouble are his shoulders and head. I'm afraid to pull too hard because it feels like it could break

edit: ok I got the shoulders and head off, but the two pieces on each arm won't line up correctly

How many clicks is the arm supposed to go? I count three but that doesn't seem to be enough to line it up

The Click of Doom  That must be the one where you feel as though his arm will snap off into little shards of plastic

I know this thread is a bit old,but i am seriously wondering why hasbro didn't go with the transformation scheme originally intended for megatron during the microman series
It would've made him less of a pain in the receptor, and a lot more accurate, just the microman megatron idea, with the MP megs head, and we would've had a better megatron,i just wanna know if there are people who where thinking the same thing.

Masterpiece is ment to be complicated. Lots of moving parts, larger size, and tonnes of detail. Making something like that would not have fit in the masterpiece design.

I don't think so, its really not that more complicated then the original, they added a few more steps here and there to give him a better look and added articulation. Starscream is more complicated really.

Its not so much that he's hard to transform, its that he's slightly scary to transform. He has alot of parts that are very thin that take alot of pressure to move or lock into place. Which makes people very careful and paranoid when transforming him. I can have him Transformed from one mode to the other in about five minutes at this point, first time I did it though took me half an hour because alot of parts didn't feel like they were supposed to move even though they were.

He's like any high end figure, designed more for display and show then for play, and though he's pretty sturdy he still feels fairly fragile which makes people either more careful with him, or causes them to claim he's too hard or badly designed.

Starscream is a more complicated Transformation, and is actually more fragile then Megatron, I don't have any issues with mine yet, but I'm extra careful with transforming him.
